not really lol James cook is probably out, Pickens is by far your best player on offense which I feel Thompson or alontae can handle, your D is good and I'll admit that but do you really think our offensive line can't open up run lanes? What happens when you can't stop the run Dawg? You stack the box, leaving mismatches for play action, and we actually have the speed at WR this year to get over the top. Seems like you need to do your homework dude.

UGA won't bring 7-8 guys unless we show them they have to. i would imagine they will bring extra only situationally, again, unless we prove to them they need extra guys.

they'll play man outside, and straight up with the front 7....the benefit of having a defense like UGA's is you can do more with less....if they can stop the run or get pressure on the QB w/out bringing a 5th or 6th guy, then there's no reason to do so, and they won't.

and to be honest, i don't think JG has had a game yet that would compare to the type of game he needs to have to win this game. neither Auburn's or MO's defenses in the games you reference are close to what UGA has right now.

if you want to get an idea of what JG has done against defenses like this go look at UF a couple years ago, Bama the last couple of years...

anyway, i like the optimism, and am not saying some of it can't/won't happen....but UGA is not MO. they'll play this game probably a lot differently than MO did, at least from a numbers standpoint.

it's like saying Ark has a better defense than LSU because of the MSU games. Ark played a completely different scheme than what LSU did. LSU thought htey had the personnel to go man up on MSU wideouts, and that they'd be able to pressure the QB as a result.

didn't happen.

Ark played zone, and kept everything in front, and tackled, .limiting yac.....

UGA will not look at the MO game tape and say "well, that's the answer boys, we just do what htey did".....................

While I agree that this UGA defense is definitely better, both of those defenses were no slouch, 2018 Auburn finished 14th in Team Defense, 2019 Mizzou finished 15th with both those teams having very strong defensive coaches/coordinators. JG is capable of doing it, just far too inconsistent.

I get it. And I’m a realist as well. I like our chances to compete. If it’s our OL vs. Georgia’s 5-6, I believe we can win some of those battles. I do believe we cover the -13 spread.

This pizzes me off. A dawg fan can simply register here and chat with us. I was already registered on SECRant, so tried to join the conversation on the UGARant to talk about the game, but when I hit reply button a message pops up saying I have to be approved to post on that board, and it gave me a window to type in the reason I wanted to be able to post on the board. So I said I wanted to discuss, respectfully, the upcoming game, and submitted my request, That was last Sunday, 4 days ago, and I haven't heard zilch from your administrator and still can't post. Another reason to despise you inbred mfing dawgs.

oh, me too. i think we can win more than our fair share of them to be honest. and we'll have to to get UGA to commit more guys to the box....that's all i was getting at.

UGA isn't coming out and stacking 8 guys in the box. if they do....then JG and our WR's better make them pay....early.

formationally, we've show a ton of different formations already this year, and you know we can be multiple out of each one. i think we have probably given their defense a lot to look at even if we haven't be an a complete juggernaut.

anyway.....i think both teams will be pretty well prepared. lots of familiarity between teh staffs and personnel in general.

I think Pruitt did it to be able to put it on film and give the OL a lot of confidence that they are so good, it doesn’t matter what the defense does schematically...we can and will be able to run the football.

For selling out to stop it they weren’t that successful
