You all act like you know who is a sure thing and which coaches would be interested, but I know for a fact it’s much more fluid than anything we understand at the ground level.

I know Tee Martin is a good coach, I know the players love him, I know he cares about this university and I know he won’t embarrass us or tell people he’s not worried because he can get an assistant job at Alabama.

Do I know he’d win big here? No I don’t. But I don’t know that with any of these candidates. Not even y’all’s golden boy Hugh Freeze.

Is Tee at the top of my list of sure fire candidates? No he isn’t. But if he got this job, it would 100000% fill me with a sense of pride and I’d get behind him with everything I’ve got.
I wouldn’t hate the hire if we started getting to coach mcgoogles. I guarantee we wouldn’t see much change on the offensive staff but Friend. Go get Hiestand. I could see a very VFL defensive staff. Brooks, Chavis, etc... And no I wouldn’t want chavis as DC.

Hugh Freeze is a good football coach. He is. I won’t dispute what is indisputable.

However, the way this place has turned into Freeze or bust, given what we know about him, what he did at Ole Miss, and how that entire program was built on a house of cards, is pretty unexpected.

At the beginning of the year the conventional wisdom around these parts was that Pruitt was a sure fire division winner at some point soon.

Now everyone is so sure the guy who won double digit games exactly one time at the P5 level, and who did it on the back of the dirtiest type of recruiting you can imagine (which was quickly vacated), is our savior is comical.

I remember how you all spoke about the guy when we were going head to head with him for Drew Richmond, among other recruits.

And the fact that you’ll sell your soul for wins that aren’t even guaranteed is telling.

Imagine it being year 3 of the Tee Martin regime and we still suck but we drag our feet even longer before firing him because he’s a VFL. Great scenario to be in. Barry Odom and Matt Luke say hi. Media flamed those Universities for being un-loyal to their own.
Exactly. You can’t do that. If Tee were to go to FAU or something and do well there, then you consider it. But you can’t hire him at this point and risk the nightmare of having to fire him. There are no indications that he’s ready to be a head coach. And you certainly don’t make that hire when a coach the caliber of Freeze would come here

How is it selling our soul? That makes no sense

And one more thing @Atlanta VOL if Haslam says something foolish like "who the hell is utvols88, an 11 year old?" Remind him, in kind, that I go to one game a year and I drive a DODGE STRATUS AND PEOPLE FEAR ME

Show me a clean program that wins. Please. Winning cures everything. Hell Dabo can openly tell people to leave the country who talk bad about America and social issues and blame FSU for running scared this weekend and canceling a game. Not a peep.

Not everyone is Freeze or bust. I think there are better coaches out there. Would they come here? Don't know. But I'm not sold on Hugh Freeze.

Just effing win!!! It is effing time!!! Get whoever is available who can do it! Take your pious horse sh*t to a team that hasn't been starving for relevance for 15 years!

We're just tired of losing. The administration and media say "have patience". Well, we've been patient for a decade if not longer. We Volnation want to win and win now. Volnation does not deserve to keep giving coaches 3-4 yrs to see if he's the right coach.

Or imagine it being year 16 and you've won the division 5 times, 2 sec titles and a national title...

Uh wait..

Freeze, Campbell, Fickell. Are the only names that I would buy into. That’s it. Every one else would be a wait and see approach and pray they pan out. This are the only three names that could be completely spun in a positive light.

You fire Pruitt because he is showing to be one of the worst head coaches we’ve ever had here.

Even the unknown is better than that.
So you're okay with another "long rebuild" because that's what happens with an unproven coach.
