Went 19-21 in the SEC and lost to Vandy twice. He's not a sure thing.

Why do you keep bringing vandy up? One of the vandy losses was to James Franklin in Freeze's first year at Ole Miss. The second loss was in a year we also lost to vandy. Freeze may not be a sure thing but few things in life are. Freeze would without question be the best hire that Tennessee has made in a very long time. Although that doesn't mean other candidates wouldn't be. The bar is pretty low.

I think losing 7 straight might be too much.
