Early morning thoughts. JG plays decent in the first half of our games, second half is a NIGHTMARE. If Pruitt is obsessed with starting JG how would you guys feel about letting Bailey finish the second half? I’d rather Bailey start and finish a full game, but I think this could work. Also, if Pruitt starts Bailey, wins out, and changes offensive coordinator in the offseason, how do you guys feel?

I really think Fulmer/Boyd/Boosters or whoever is making a decision have two weeks to do it. Going into the UF game, I think you need to know what direction you're going after this season. UF is a most likely loss (and not close at that). Right now it's safe to assume we're sitting 3-7 at best. If you're making a move, I think you do it after UF.

We may very well beat Vanderbilt the next week and you obviously wouldn't fire him after a win, even if you plan to go in a different direction. After A&M seems too late as signing day is a few days before on the 16th. I don't know the rules surrounding signing letter of intents and then your head coach being fired a few days later. That seems like bad form and I would think guys could get out of that. That scenario seems like a cluster.

I thought aTm is 12-Dec. We will be losers of 7 in a row going into Vandy. Despite that, I think Pruitt hangs on.

That actually might make a lot of sense. Fulmer knows the team has quit and one more blowout will push the rest of the power boosters over the edge. Fire Pruitt after Florida, and the team will hopefully be re-energized under an interim coach like Chaney to save face and beat Vandy.

Where does all “the players have quit” talk come from? Last I saw, they played hard and well enough to beat Auburn.

This program is enough of a soap opera without making stuff up.

JG is contact traced and Pruitt thinks he cant win with HB (because he’s low IQ) so daddy phil pulled some strings to DODGE VANDY my god it’s more apparent everyday that this program is DEAD.

Slow your roll. I'm all aboard the fahr Pruitt train but 1. no one thinks HB is an idiot or low IQ (Forrest Gump certainly isn't dissing anyone else's IQ) 2. Phil is out with covid. He's not managing a grand conspiracy to keep Pruitt because Pruitt thinks HB is an idiot. There's really only one thing you need to know when it comes to figuring out Fulmer - love of UT. He will act in any way he can to help the university succeed and that includes firing Pruitt if he's allowed to. Pruitt isn't tied to Fulmer beyond him being the best choice available from a catalogue of lousy choices and torn up pages. Fulmer was indeed too loyal to certain assistants (who also happened to be former players) but Pruitt's not a Fulmer disciple, former player, or tied to us or Phil in any way beyond his current employment. Chill.

If you feel the need to get conspiratorial, Phil isn't the one to be looking at. He can get a lot of things done and has gotten a lot done but he's not in any way a lone man in charge not when it comes to things like this.

It is much, much simpler than this. JG has proven to be untrustworthy, HB’s game tape looks promising, and UT should be playing for the future. Start HB

How would that not be a bad thing?

Because UT is a lightning rod for negativity right now. Losses just expand the negativity, and embarrassing losses are demoralizing for everybody. Pruitt's only going to get more defensive and piss people off more. Everybody's sick of it. We'll have opt-outs.

Wish he would opt out, back to Alabama.
