Back in Tennessee for the holidays and no Tennessee sports for the foreseeable future, so seems as good a time as any to take a VolNation break. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday with friends and family.

I’ve already stopped watching, haven’t since Kentucky. I won’t start watching until a change is made. I’ll catch a game here or there if I’m around when it’s in on but I’m not planning my days around watching the games and definitely not going to any until a change is made.

There is some truth to this. When is the last time we had an actual football coach coaching our football team?

Some could argue Kiffin. He leaves in the middle of the night. We try to hire at least 3 real football coaches who all turn us down. We panic and hire a lawyer.

He fails. We again try to hire at least 2 real football coaches. Again we are turned down and again we panic. So Hamilton interviews a Yankee (I can say that becaus I am one haha) who played in a high school band in a hotel room for 4 hours and gives him the job.

He fails. Our AD fails miserably and gets told to come home. But instead he goes rogue and hires an actual football coach. But flag on the play and it gets called back. Then we hire a real football coach....... To be our AD. He doesn't even really try to hire a real football coach. (I understand he was in a tough spot) But again we panic. Hire an elementary school gym teacher.

We just keep taking steps back. I don't think we will handle this correctly either. The logical thing to do is hire a football coach. Hugh Freeze. But we won't. Maybe Matt Campbell. But we won't. Even if Pruitt is fired, which after this last stunt of ducking Vandy I don't think he will be, we will again panic. No doubt about it.

Calling Jeremy Pruitt an elementary school gym teacher is stupid...it is enough to say he may not have been ready for a rebuild of this magnitude. That was a unneeded put down.

Maybe posters but they'll be some season ticket holders that'll find other, more enjoyable things to do on their Saturdays. The question is, how many? It's hard to say but I do think it will be significant. Significant enough to make it financially viable to make a coaching change, I'm not sure.

Ok that's fair. I mainly do that because he was my neighbors son's elementary gym teacher. But I get your point. I don't have the level of distance for him that I did Butch. But I honestly think your description misses the mark as well.

Leave 'rebuild of this magnitude out of it. He's proven he is not a good HC.

I promise you we'll all be excited about whatever hire they make approximately 30 seconds after they start talking at the press conference.

Not this time for me unless it’s a well know home run and I’ll believe it when I see it. When Pruitt was hired I thought for once that maybe we got a real football coach. And we did but not a real football head coach. I said I would wait and judge him by results. Done some good things with the roster but he has absolutely stunk it up. The direction of the program statement was the last straw. He’s really a clueless idiot on how to run a program or a business. Just a sand mountain Bama loving red neck. I’m out and only way I would be back in is if he proved it on the field. I don’t see that happening but if he’s on the sideline in 2021, I’ll be hoping he does. However, I am not going to keep donating what I do I’d the continue to only see three games.

VN is social media and I enjoy the interaction here, plus misery loves company and we’re the legion of the miserable. I do post sporadicly and but I mostly stick to reddit and even then just a few subreddits because most of reddit sucks.

I think this staff can sell that they didn't take this season seriously, that they used it to try and develop players towards the future. They didn't really care about wins this season. Used it as a big skrimage. Whether true or not I think they can spin it that way. I think playing the games insures an implosion of the class. Not playing gives them a chance.

What does your booster friend prefer or has he now backed away completely? @InVOLuntary
