Gus is not the answer. We will run him off in three years too. Being married into a huge family of Auburn fans has given me years of context on Gus.

Why though? The guy had won a lot of games in the toughest division in football. I guarantee you Steele isn’t going to do any better. He’s recruited well, and his teams are generally pretty good. The measuring stick is always Saban but that’s a little unrealistic. I’d take Kiffin over Freeze all day too.

I would throw the bank at Stoops as I think Urban is done coaching. I would also call up Lincoln Riley and offer 10 million to him. Would call Whittingham and offer 8-9 million. Call Campbell and offer 8 million. After that, then we go to Gus or Freeze. I would absolutely kill to have Phil have peace offering with Kiffin.

I just think Tennessee needs to buy their way out of this dump.
