I struggle to think we’ll hire Kiffin or that Campbell or Fickell will take a job not in the Big 10. That’s what leads me to Napier

Order is upside down, but I’d be tickled with anyone on that list.

Clark is a sacrifice bunt. Chadwell is a double. The rest should be considered home runs by any reasonable UT fan.

As in, you might have a different preference, but those are all A tier candidates.

All I know is White wasn’t talked about here, or by the media as a possible AD. Every hire at HC position we’ve made as of late wasn’t even on the radar either.

My meaningless conclusion is I feel ALL the names being mentioned here and elsewhere will more than likely not be the name that’s chosen. I’d like to be surprised of course, but can’t in good faith open myself up to believing it again.

There just aren't many "proven winner" options available at any given time. Usually because those guys are almost always currently employed.

Gruden won a Super Bowl. Currently a head coach. Well known personality. Knows everyone in the football world. Would bring a stellar staff. Recruiting would be insane. Has property in Tennessee. Wife was a UT grad. Just saying. He would be a home run.

To be fair, Trey Wallace was talking about White yesterday as someone to look out for. I haven't seen anyone outside of him who had that name though. Say what you want about Trey's quirkiness but clearly he's got some legit sources.
