Roddy Piper was kicked out of school in junior high, and essentially lived on his own travelling around Canada. I heard an interview with him where he said he had never read a book, although I don't think he was actually illiterate. Still one of the greatest heels ever in the business because he understood the psychology so well.

Best story: He's wrestling in the Los Angeles territory back in the late 70's, in front of a largely Mexican audience. Comes out, takes the mike and announces he wants to make up to the Hispanic community by playing the Mexican National Anthem. The crowd quiets down, he picks up his bagpipes, and starts playing - "La Cucaracha."

That is some serious heat.

it is global warming. Maybe when you get a chance update your glasses prescription as it appears you are very shortsighted.

Oh no, it’s actually “climate change”. Picking warming or cooling just paints us into a corner. With climate change we can blame all shifts, up or down, on fossil fuels and cow farts.

its work to get the kids outside but its worth it.

this is the year, regardless of this virus, that my kids learn about something call hiking. you can lay the excuses anywhere you like...😁 just walk.

there are so many things to learn outside. its its own classroom.
My kids are all outdoor nuts even though they did all the electronic stuff too. We took them hiking and exploring all over the country.

My number was from 2018, seems that things are shifting fast. At any rate failure was caused by Texas not buying the defrost options for turbines, coal, and NG thinking they would never need them. States like Iowa experience similar weather every year and do fine with their utilities.
Yeah, I think Texas now leads the country in total production of electricity from wind. It's wild driving through the lower plains and seeing all the turbines alongside oil derricks. In fairness to ERCOT, this kind of weather never happens anywhere except the panhandle, unlike in Iowa, so you could see why they wouldn't want to incur the added cost of the defrosters that they thought they'd never use.

Been talking about Hooker as well.

Calling my shot, Hooker starts.

Yeah I agree... based on what Hooker already brings to the table, along with CJH offense, it will be hard to keep him off the field... I could see him starting the season and Salter learning, being edged in the second half of the season. If Bailey is willing to get a little physical and learns to run better, well then we've got a competition... Maurer may want to look elsewhere, sorry....

Then let's hope we can some how pull Simpson... I know a long shot, but saw where he's had some good conversations with JH... who knows... could still be a legit possibility because the kid has made it known he likes TN...

Agree with everything

Did Steamboat win the WCW or the old NWA title when he beat Flair in 1989?
Well, it wasn't the black 10 pounds of gold, NWA world title, it was the big gold belt. I think, technically that was still NWA back then.
Edit to add, the 6:05 show was possibly already called world championship wrestling, but I don't think the company had changed over yet ... I could be wrong.

Broke my leg once playing backyard football. Knew it was broken, but let everyone convince me I was wrong. Tried to stand up to join back in and immediately fell down. No one wanted to believe it was broken until the x-rays proved otherwise, lol.

Could have been worse. My best friend broke his arm after being tackled by a girl. :)
Lol..my son broke his arm playing football with the neighborhood boys when he was eight..the tough little booger didn't even tell me what happened till I noticed him holding it funny and it was swollen up the next day.
