Is there some cultural reference or something I’m missing with him asking the girl for a selfie with two spoons? I don’t… and probably don’t want to understand what that is about… but tell me anyways
The only thing I know or understand about that spoon is it’s a way to make sure the person is real and not posting a fake pic. You ask for a pic with a spoon so they can’t ship it or fake it. IDK 🤷‍♂️

My takeaway from your post is that there were six times as many kids drafted from the state of Tennessee as were drafted from the university of Tennessee, which produced a measly one of those six in-state players. I don’t think anyone has ever said that we need to recruit the state of Tennessee exclusively, but your post is proof that we need to do a much better job of identifying and recruiting the talent in our state. Also, if the Carolinas combined to produce 13 draft picks, this actually suggests we are on par with each of those states individually, and I don’t understand how it supports your OP.
The only one that was drafted before day 3 was Amari (ironically Josh Palmer went higher than him). Bohanna and Hutcherson were missed evals by the Butch staff, and probably would’ve never had a shot at the NFL with Pruitt coaching them
Anyways. Trey should’ve went higher, but Jacoby Stevens was considered by many to be a major loss when it happened. He went in the 7th round. Trevon Flowers may go higher if he has a big senior year.

What I’m saying is recruiting in the state is not as important as people make it to be. No one says we should only recruit players from Tennessee, but the meltdowns when an in state 4 star goes to another school is kind of ridiculous. Plenty of 3 star kids from GA and FL could come up here and be considered blue chip players.

Off topic and not trying to race bait but so far every black QB Kirby Smart has had at Georgia has not worked out...so far 1 opted out (Jamie Newman) and 2 transferred out (Dwan, Fields). I don’t think it’s Kirby’s fault but it could easily be used against him for future prospects...

cool.

It's not the best, but the state has improved dramatically in the last 5 years. I'd say it's a top 10 (8,9, or10) state to recruit now.
What sucks is a majority of it is midstate and Memphis. Not sure ET talent will ever proportionately increase. Knox and Chatta are growing, but not really any more than ga, fl, other cities.

That is really insane. Let's compare comments about someone's potentially life-altering medical condition to fans' opinions about how he rated a player. That shows a clear view of what he values. Pathetic...
What is really stupid is that Trey by every account would have been a top 10 pick without the medical issues..not only is Farrel a piece of 💩, he was absolutely wrong to start with in his ranking of Trey.

Unless you have been living under a rock the past 10 years “race” in the eyes of the media does matter, so I think he could be negatively recruited for it. Not saying I agree but I for one don’t like Kirby so any bad publicity going his way is a good thing...

Hate Kirby, but this is ridiculous and anyone using this as negative recruiting would have to be a moron. Trying to make another coach to be somehow racist or unable to coach "your kind, kid" because a couple QBs transferred is not going to work out too well when 99% of their defense is black, and quite frankly, top 5 every year. Again, Kirby sucks 100%, but this feels like a surefire recipe for backfire.

When have we ever done that? Tennessee has always been a national recruiting team. Mainly due to what the anti coffee drinking, LeBron gif posting, puppy kicking poster that shall remain nameless said above. Times are changing though.

We haven't but some posters on here would have us fill every spot with TN kids just because they are TN kids.
