I was not immediately happy with the hire of CJH. Just wasn’t a wow and felt like a retread. And a let down from the crazy rumors.
But now that it has settled I love it. I think he is a real proven coach whose model and staff are all significant upgrades.
His way works and the staff he has know how to run his system.
For the first time in a while we aren’t making excuses.
Pics or it didn't happen. She struggled breast feeding directly best I recall. He couldn't get latched on well enough to get satisfied so she pumped for a few months. Fwiw, I truly think that every child who possibly can should be breast fed at least the first 6 months. I believe it's much healthier and you don't spend a fortune on the formula racket!
I get your point and it is a good one, but there's a downside too. It helps immediately, but could hurt us down the road (2-3 years right as we're trying to get over the hump). So...it's possible we may appear to rebuild quickly...but then hit a plateau and make it harder in a couple years.
All those lost signing spots (guys transfering and having to replace them...while not getting their spot back) means we are going to be short in future classes. When we'd normally have 3rd-5th year guys coming into their own, our transfers are already gone.
Which is why I think there's extra importance in being successful early. You can't go all-out on rebuilding through transfers (they really didn't have a choice in this case though) and go 4-8/5-7 and hamper the next class more than it already is. Gotta hit on some surprise wins this/next year and send recruiting up enough to make up for the above losses.
You're a 6-6 man! Equal chance of 7-5 or 5-7 happening.
How optimistic of you

I swear I’m not trying to be a Nega Vol, it’s just experience talking: what if none of our QBs are very good? That’s what worries me and makes me think the season has the potential to be awful. Our cautious optimism is us in the hairnet tending to cold cuts… the senior citizen in the red shirt after 2.5 marijuanas is the reality of the first SEC game…

Speaking of canning, one thing that has been extremely hard to come by since the pandemic hit last year is quart-size jars. We thought when the season started, we were in good shape, but our garden far exceeded what we anticipated and is still producing fast. Went to 5 stores yesterday within a 15 mile radius before finally finding enough to hopefully get us thru this canning season.
They can't legally cap players pay without meeting the unionized players at the table to negotiate for their consent to a cap. That's how the pro sports work. The same logic behind courts overruling the ban on nil will keep them from placing caps on it.The longer this goes on, and the more and more money players get paid, the more I feel certain that they'll eventuality try to cap player's earning potential in some way, shape, form, or fashion.
Because the American manufacturers were lazy for 20-30 years. All they were good for was full size or heavy duty trucks and a sportscar here and there. Ever since the early 10's though, they've had respectable products, but are so far behind where it counts(CUVs and family sedans). They make great muscle cars but most people buy the turbo 4 or V6 models which are lacking as well. GM in particular has all the components to make a whole lineup of great cars, but they don't care. Ford at least tried. All the pro America talk during the olympics and it seems like so many on here are championing foreign owned auto makers.
I would have thought that originally and it was being discussed (ex: $100/max per signed item or max $1,000 per appearance, etc) but SCOTUS's opinions didn't leave a lot of gray area imo. They made some pretty strong suggestions to the NCAA and that's a big reason they are stepping back from NiL governance and leaving it to individual schools. The longer this goes on, and the more and more money players get paid, the more I feel certain that they'll eventuality try to cap player's earning potential in some way, shape, form, or fashion.
What if all the QBs are good? Does that lead to the potential for a good season?I swear I’m not trying to be a Nega Vol, it’s just experience talking: what if none of our QBs are very good? That’s what worries me and makes me think the season has the potential to be awful.
That’s so cool. I’ve played Spyglass, but never Pebble. So, when my son was 3, I got to play Pebble Beach. In the pro shop, got him a cool little golf hat.
He had just started playing golf with me. When I gave him the hat, he asked me when we could play there.
I responded when you are a teenager. No mention from him again. Thought that he forgot.
Fast forward to the morning of his 13th birthday. I go to wake him up for school. Wish him a Happy Birthday. He smiles and says, So Dad, I am a teenager now. I respond, Yessir. He then asks, When are we playing Pebble Beach? He never forgot.
We have been out there twice, but no Pebble tee times unless you stay on property (damn expensive). He and I have played Spyglass and Spanish Bay. We have a goal of a boy’s trip to play…hopefully by next year, he will have things straightened out in his life and we can get to fulfill that promise.![]()
Well I think it's fair to say we know Bailey is decent at least, his play last year had a lot to improve on but also showed a lot positives too.I swear I’m not trying to be a Nega Vol, it’s just experience talking: what if none of our QBs are very good? That’s what worries me and makes me think the season has the potential to be awful.
True enough, but it goes without saying you don't get spots back for guys that have already played or participated in practice/team activities. The only guys there is even a remote chance of getting their spot back for are brand new kids. The Toots, Grays, Wanyas...those are 100% lost. But you're right a few this year were fresh croots, maybe get some back.Good point, but from what I've seen getting initial counter spots back generally isn't something we hear as common knowledge so it may not impact as greatly as we think.
The other point is that we are using the current NCAA rules to make these assumptions, which may or may not be relevant or even the same set of rules in just a few short years.
The autonomous five could completely rewrite the rule book by the time it would matter, and I do believe that the rule will be changed to manage to the 85 limit rather than the 25 yearly number sooner than later.
