On Friday afternoon, redshirt freshman offensive tackle Gerald Mincey tweeted that he has committed to Tennessee. Mincey has appeared in 10 games in his career, playing mostly as a reserve offensive lineman.

I like it, 2 years in the SEC and he should have at least 3 years left (maybe 4?) So they burned his redshirt in 2020, which didn't count and he played in 10 games this year.

But still 2 years of SEC S&C program so he could be a plug and play guy as a potential starter here.

Why are we mad today? UT not getting all these transfers and decommits? If so, y’all are ridiculous. We were never going to get these 5* guys leaving 5* programs. They’re leaving for somewhere more stable, sure, but also somewhere that can still offer them a Championship and NIL money. That place just isn’t Tennessee. Get over it.
