Has anyone considered that he might be telling the truth about the woman trying to run over his mom or that he's at least being truthful in that he genuinely thought she was? I think police believe him at least on the point that he wasn't trying to do anything more than scare her because the charges as filed are 'without intent to kill,' but this is a sorry situation. Whatever else was going on it never should've gotten to the point where the kid feels the need to go get mom's gun and fire it.
I'd laugh at South Carolina but these are the kind of charges in the exact kind of state that you never ever want to see a young person get charged with, especially since whatever else was going on he's paying for his response to the actions of the adults around him.
