In other words, Bama thinks they may need to fake injuries.

If we are still down in numbers on defense this year I propose we lead the nation in injuries to give our guys rest on long drives. I would give cramp classes and share the load across the whole defense. Don't fake anything you cannot fix with one play and a refresh drink on the sidelines. Probably want them to go down on the play and just not get up to avoid those embarrassing Oscar nomination late fall down looks.

Anyone see the new rules from the NCAA? What a joke. We need to add ten to twenty more teams and start our own league and say bye to the NCAA. Targeting should not be an ejection but a flagrant foul. And blocking should not be so objective. What a joke they are
You can go ahead and take this to the bank…we will lose a game this year as a result of one of our TDs being taken away due to taunting being called (and it will probably be a phantom taunting).

Beat me to it.

We should make a pre-season betting poll:
Number of game-altering, outcome-determining scores erased due to subjective “taunting” calls from refs?

NCAA-wide I bet at least six games will hinge completely on a touchdown called back for taunting. (3 of which will probably negatively effect UT).

It will probably be the go ahead TD to beat UF, Taken off the board due to our WR waiving at the crowd or something silly like that.

I hate it all. It's like if the NFL, NBA, MLB, etc cut out every single smaller market team.

You can just keep making the argument that teams are below the average value...ad infinitum...until you're down to 1 team.
Meanwhile killing the overall national market and sport for the purpose of supreme efficiency of dollars for the very few. No thanks.

Give me a broad, diverse market sport across all regions. And a central office that protects just that, such as a league office in pro sports that would never allow this rampant balkanization to occur in the first place. Jmo
Too late for all that.

Reactions: Orange.
I love how NCAA finds a way to add even more rules that are subjective and open to interpretation. I mean we just don’t have enough ways for a referee to effect the outcome of a game.

When was taunting even that big of an issue that we decided it needs to effect the outcome of a game? I must have missed the big influx of issues stemming from taunting that is plaguing the game.

Right? Who gives a f*** about taunting?

Again, the NCAA just doesn’t get what they’re supposed to be doing as an organization. And it’s why they’re dying.

“To address teams that are awarded an injury timeout through deceptive actions, panel members approved a reporting and investigation process. Schools and conferences will be able to report questionable scenarios to the national coordinator of officials, who will review and provide feedback to the conference for further action. Any penalties levied would be up to the conference office or school involved.”

This will do LITERALLY nothing. When playing Tennessee, fake injuries all game to get the advantage and win. After the win, you may or may not be punished. But by then it’s too late for it to matter for Tennessee, the team that was cheated.

WHAT?

I think the reason Hooker is not getting the love is the "system QB" tag he has been given. And, yes, the system helps. Dude still has to make the reads, make the throws and run the ball. I would not rather have anyone on that list before him except maybe Bryce Young.

Along this same line of thought is the fact that his history of success is within this system. Not like he was putting up these kind of numbers at Va.Tech

I think it’ll be a little better than it was last year, but I don’t think it’s the answer in the end.

Will Levis couldn't play at PSU and then threw 24 tds to 13 picks at UK but yet he's getting more hype than anybody. Its wild.
