Before my time….. I remember doc from the early 80’s….. very fun to watch.
He was still the doctor, but clearly on the downhill of his career physically. When he ruled Rucker and the ABA, he had no equal. Smooth, walked on air, held the ball like you and I held a grapefruit....just an amazing, transformative talent. Probably my favorite player of all-time. Plus, he had that fro and swag that said he was the coolest cat on the planet.

You are telling me that is supposed to be the number 1 QB over Nico? What a joke.
While I agree, I'm pretty sure Peyton played at that same school/level. Peyton didn't have the greatest arm and certainly didn't have wheels that made you worry. He did, however, have a great feel for the game and a great mind/work ethic/love for it to go with his skills which were jreally good overall. I'm sure Arch will do well at texas. Will he equal his uncle? Doubt it. Will he be better than Nico? Well, early on his competition won't be as tough assuming texas doesn't enter the league for a couple of years. He certainly won't have to deal with bama, uga and lsu so I'd have to think his chances for early success will be higher than Nico's.

Peyton played at the same school, yes. And, look very similar to that when running. Arch will be a good player. Agree he may be overrated, maybe not? It's def his name keeping him at the top.

Hope our commit, of whom has a higher ceiling naturally - arguiing contrarily is folly, needs to add weight. Concentrate on being a QB, and, focus - if he isnt already.

Let's be real though. Peyton would tell you himself he looked like a Tennessee walking horse when he ran.

The difference imo is the NFL already has a union, CBAs, minimum salaries, all of that. The players actually have some control, unlike the PGA (as I understand it, this was the crux of the issue).
I don’t think it will happen either but it has happened before with the USFL…. They offered better rookie deals and other incentives to get talent to join that league.
