Hate interrupting the TV Guide thread but I thought this was interesting. Guess just being part of something big aint enough if youre not playing? Bama Blake Barnett haters take note.

We need to prove that by going on a massive winning streak against them. It pains me theyve beaten us as much as they have.
Im just talking about in general.
Im actually watching the UT Missouri game right now. I can count the people in the stands when they pan out. My guess is less than 100 people at the game.
Just in general they suck and dont belong. I hate everything about Missouri.
Definitely agree on that point. Culturally, they just feel different than an SEC school. Im talking a less rabid fan base and seemingly a lesser emphasis on sports dominance than most SEC programs.
I like Hurts' dad's response to his son. "You f'd up and left the door open. It's your job to dig yourself out."

-VQThe Vols remain real contenders for defensive back targets Tyus Fields, Jaydon Hill, Aaron Beasley, Warren Burrell, Shyehim Battle and Devin Bush all of whom could pick their college of choice by the end of the summer. Bush is blue-chipper the Vols have quietly made a nice more for this spring. LSU remains the perceived favorite for the New Orleans native, but both David Johnson and Terry Fair have definitely gotten Tennessees foot in the door for the 4-star corner.
-VQNext weekend is set for move in weekend for several of Jeremy Pruitt's first signing class. Not everyone will be moving in because some signees don't graduate high school till June. However, some are finish including the junior college players and grad transfers who will be moving in next weekend.
Pruitt is cearly eager to get them here as he looks to ramp up the competition on his team which he hopes will foster leadership. Pruitt has been talking about the need for leadership on the team, but quickly notes if it doesn't emerge then the coaches will handle the leadership roles. Something he says he's been a part of before.
While it's move in weekend for many newcomers it will be return to campus weekend for those returning players and it will be quickly into the weight room for workouts and conditioning under strength coach Craig Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald and his staff have their summer workout plan in place. Fitzgerald has plenty of team building things in place for his summer plan but there is also some individual specific things tailored to specifics that Pruitt wants for them. Obviously for some plyers weight gain is the biggest priority.
Tennessee's expanded practice field and the renovations to the north end of the Neyland Thompson practice complex continues to move forward. The final practice field is almost ready to sod and the facade on the complex building is almost ready to be tied in to complete that renovation.
As AD Phillip Fulmer noted this week on the Big Orange Caravan stops renovations to Lindsey Nelson Stadium is a must. Fulmer has had plenty of conversations with baseball coach Tony Vitello regarding the facility and administrator Carmen Tegano has been heavily involved in researching other facilities as well as what options they might have in renovating that facility. Fulmer has made it clear they aren't building a new facility but the current stadium falls below the standard for baseball in the SEC.
Im not confident ole Averion nailed down enough Dad of the Year votes. :glare: By all accounts, Jalen is a hard worker with no attitude deficiencies. He just doesnt seem naturally gifted as a passer. Any eff ups might be better attributed to daddy, the incubator he donated his DNA to...or both.
It feels like the only winning they ever do is by being so freaking weird and out of place that nobody is built to beat them.
Not to mention culturally they are out of place. They are about as southern as a Canadian.
Ugh - we need to undo that mistake.
