I just don't know what we gain by adding them and Texas AM to this conference. I know they wanted it for the tv footprint. Just two more mouths to feed though.

Watering down a product that was fine as it was.

Sports in general are hurting themselves because they look for revenue at every turn and never think about the long term cost of their decisions. Every sport in America should pay attention to what Nascar has done to itself.

NASCAR was the people up top listening to people who had no idea of what the masses wanted and ruined it because of that

Marginalized their core fanbase.

Hosting conference tourneys in Missouri would be similar to what NASCAR did to its fans. Hell, they just hosted the SEC softball tournament and they were the only team that didn't even make it. Having the SEC Men's basketball tourney there is a freakin joke.

I hate Missouri.

Got a couple friends that went to Missouri. They miss the Big 12 days, and change the subject when I ask them why they paid so much for Dooley as OC.

I think them and Nebraska screwed up by leaving the Big 12.

i just don't care about MO. i couldn't muster the energy to hate them.

they should never have conf post season stuff up there though. ever. so i agree with you on that. MO fans can travel to Nashville, Birmingham or Atlanta. they just don't matter to me, and they definitely shouldn't matter to the conf administration to the point where we're moving post season activities to freakin St. Louis.

i couldn't care less if a MO fan ever came to any of those events held in NAS, ATL or BIR.

WV is the toughest test. Florida isn’t going to be good this year and we have them at home. Should’ve beaten them last year, why can’t we this year?

i think we split the WVU/FL games. like you, i lean to UF being the one that's the most winnable.

Branson is Pigeon Forge without the Smoky Mountains. In other words - do not waste your time

And since I only go to Pigeon Forge FOR the Smoky Mountains, I’ll pass.

This brings up another point. We have a treasure here in our back yard and I take it for granted all too often. Heck, I’m just now realizing what a treasure trove of waterfalls we have around the Upper Cumberland area. I love being a Tennessean. What a place to live.

they didn't really have a choice, considering the monopoly TX was creating for themselves, and the conf was not going to do a thing about it. MO would have been better served going to the Big 10, like Nebraska.

i like having aTm in the league. MO doesn't fit. i'd of rather tried to after one of the North Carolina programs or Virgina programs.

If Pruitt, coaching his first ever game can beat a top 25 WV team on a neutral field, this team's confidence will fly off the charts and we will absolutely skull drag the gators. If we lose, it's a tough 6-6 season that hopefully Pruitt and the team learns from and starts a steady rise.

Parts of Rock Island state park reminds me of Hawaii or Costa Rica. Then you go up to Big South Fork and carved out rock formations is like Moab. Then shoot down to Obed and it feels like a Rocky Mountain canyon.

I love being able to leave home after work on Friday and be in Cosby with a tent up by dark. I love the Smokies and other Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee state parks, and NRAs like Big South fork being close by, I used to take them for granted, but I don't anymore.

The one hope we do still have is seeing players coached up, getting out of them the best and winning some surprise games this year. Don't think we have seen coached up players in 5 yrs.
