I know I'm not exactly covering new territory, but it's so nice to have a coach who just speaks his mind. No "too clever by half" stuff like with Dooley, no "used car salesman" like Butch. I got where both of those coaches were coming from in their styles, but Pruitt is just SO refreshing after all the BS of the last several years.

David Ubben just wrote a great article on the Athletic about Murray and pollock's comments and pruitt's response. You may need a subscription to read not sure. But its worth it imo. Great site for real sports journalism with no click bait articles or ads.

Butch taking that position was an awful, awful, awful career move. He should have accepted an FCS head coaching job before working as Saban's lackey. It won't rehabilitate his career one iota.

He has an image problem not borne out of unreliability or character flaws, but out of being a terrible coach. The only way to shed that flaw is to coach your way back into relevance, presumably as the head guy somewhere. He doesn't have the Xs and Os credentials that a Steve Sarkisian or a Lane Kiffin or a Huge Freeze have.
