Still inappropriate to bring up... especially Pollack reporting it as “fact”.

What are the rumors there that we know about?

I know he and Richt got into some arguments are there has been speculation that Pruitt either showed up at Richt’s house hammered or use some fowl language around his family.

And I think everyone knew Pruitt was gunning for that head coach job knowing Richt was on the hot seat.

This is exactly what I believe.

Wonder if this affected the Cade Mayes recruitment at all?

Y'all are missing out that Pruitt said Alontae Taylor and Bryce Thompson will start OFF the fall at defense.

Not day 1 STARTERS on defense.

They were considering Taylor at WR & CB in the spring and are going to stick with him at CB. He practiced the first 9 at WR though.

Bryce Thompson was a WR/DB ATH signee.

Now, I do think Taylor will start at CB. Maybe Thompson too, but that isn't what Pruitt was getting at in his statement on the two.

Shambuglar, Buchanan, and Taylor are the starting CB/NB imo

They are probably the best athletes on our team though, so I’m assuming they will get the start. Our defense will be improved with those 2 on the field

I highly doubt we will see Taylor be anything but a CB for the rest of his career here.

A comment that stood out to me from media days is even Pruitt was asked how he feels about the QB room/situation...

And he rewpond by saying he feels good about competition blah blah but the. He said he thought it was important to basically figure it out the starter quickly so our team can build some rythem.

I wonder even if he knows who his starter is...will he release it publicly or try and hide it from WV.

FWIW, the VQ guys in one of their podcasts a few weeks back thought he’d announce who they’re going with in his first game week press conference.


Who knows though. WVU having little idea what exactly our offense will look like will be one of the few clear advantages we have in that game, so maybe he tries to maximize that advantage as much as possible.

I’m thinking the same. It will be interesting to see what happens at NB, though. There was some murmurs a while back about them moving Warrior around situationally between NB and Safety. If that happens, maybe they move Shamburger outside? Who knows.

If there’s one thing I completely trust Pruitt with it’s positions on defense and where he’s gonna have guys lined up.

No doubt whatsoever they’ll be in the best positions to succeed.

Guys, I have been skimming the recruiting profiles-- I see Knox and Keyton, but are we in on any other WR's that are considered elite? Looks like Pruitt and Co are recruiting a nice blend of positions (DB/CB heavily because of need), but I don't see that "standout" WR... maybe I have missed him, could anyone let me know?
