Agreed. People got WAY out over their skis declaring that UGA was going to be just like Bama, but from the East. They’re really good and will continue to be but Tennessee can absolutely catch up.
I doubt we'll ever see another machine Alabama program after Saban retires. I'm not saying we can't compete with UGA, because we can, but I still think they're here to stay. It's hard to suggest otherwise based on what they've accomplished on the field the last two years.

Georgia is the best recruiting job in the country imo

No real in state competition

Texas: They historically have been able to choose any in-state player they want, and historically that has been the deepest talent pool state in the country.

USC: As the only elite program west of Texas, they have their pick of the entire west coast and pacific islands.

LSU: Very talented state, no in-state competition, and a fiercely loyal in-state following.

Georgia has always been a pretty good team, they're not just gonna drop off, however I don't think they'll ever get to the place where they seem impossible to beat like Alabama.

Can’t agree with Texas as they are currently getting outrecruited by A&M. Too many hands in one jar. Same with USC in Cali.

Agree on LSU as they are the only contender in that state but Georgia has way more talent than the state of Louisiana.

Someone posted this on VQ and I think it's worth sharing here. But if Pruitt wins the next two, he will have matched what Kirby did in his first season at GA. Kirby inherited a top 5 roster in the country and only won 7 games. His schedule was also easier than Pruitt's was this year. He didn't play a playoff contending WVU team that year, but North Carolina to open the season. He also didn't play Bama. His most impressive win was against Auburn that year, but he also nearly lost to Nicholls state and he lost to a horrible Vandy team at home, on homecoming.

Pruitt inherited a terrible roster and the talent that was on this roster had not been developed either with S&C or with actual football coaching, and he is going to take that roster to the same first year record as Kirby took GA if he wins out. Folks, that is impressive. I'm all in with Pruitt. I think we have the guy. If he signs the recruiting class it looks like he will sign, we ain't looking back, and those of you who laughed at me when I said we'd be competing in 2020, we'll see who is laughing when that season gets here.
Posibass is so much more enjoyable than negabass

I don't either. However I don't think Georgia has competed like this on a national stage really since the early 80's. They were close to it in 2012, but they were a fourth and long away last year from beating Alabama in the championship. They also controlled most of that game.

Kirby is a good coach, but overrated. He came into a loaded and stacked UGA team with top heavy juniors/seniors the past 2 years along with a favorable schedule and a weak SEC.

Any team coming off a national championship appearance is expected to pull in a excellent recruiting class esp UGA with no real in state competition.

We are already starting to load up on GA recruits this year and will continue to do so esp with our staff having so many GA connections.

I expect UGA to drop off a bit after this year. 9-3 and 8-4 seasons will be the norm again.

Nope

One note last night on Drew Richmond. When we scored and the fight broke out, he came to the sideline as fired up as I have EVER seen him. He was ready to beat the piss out of anyone wearing blue and was getting the crowd and team fired up. This coach has been on his tail BUT he is trying to respond and get coached up. Was good to see players are getting chewed out but this staff knows if they are worth it they can bring them back around. Drew seems to be one of those who constantly needs to be pushed and kicked in the butt and this staff will do it. This is why I think you see so many former players who respect CJP so much.
I love all our players but damnit, Drew needs to get his head on straight. Phenomenal skill set and strength. But mentally, needs to stay sharp. 2-3 false starts seemingly a game and with the razor thin margin of error we have, it's the difference between winning and losing.

Based on Mizz turning this into a who scores last scenario this week, JG must finally consistently use his feet if we are gonna pull the W... I don't care whether it's actually tucking it and running, or just rolling out/moving in the pocket to buy a few extra seconds, but we are going to need to capitalize on every O possession if we are going to try and hang with them.
With that being said, if our D comes and brings pressure like we did against KY, I am hoping that slides the scale in our favor. We will also have Flowers and Abernathy back I believe...

The kid seems close to finally turning the corner, but he's not there yet. Until he can go without false starting and being put on his rear, he is still going to be under performing in most people's eyes.
