Someone posted this on VQ and I think it's worth sharing here. But if Pruitt wins the next two, he will have matched what Kirby did in his first season at GA. Kirby inherited a top 5 roster in the country and only won 7 games. His schedule was also easier than Pruitt's was this year. He didn't play a playoff contending WVU team that year, but North Carolina to open the season. He also didn't play Bama. His most impressive win was against Auburn that year, but he also nearly lost to Nicholls state and he lost to a horrible Vandy team at home, on homecoming.

Pruitt inherited a terrible roster and the talent that was on this roster had not been developed either with S&C or with actual football coaching, and he is going to take that roster to the same first year record as Kirby took GA if he wins out. Folks, that is impressive. I'm all in with Pruitt. I think we have the guy. If he signs the recruiting class it looks like he will sign, we ain't looking back, and those of you who laughed at me when I said we'd be competing in 2020, we'll see who is laughing when that season gets here.

I'll go one step further - if LSU beats A&M and we win out, then Pruitt would also have equaled what Jimbo Fisher did in his first year with the Aggies, another roster that was in much better shape than what Pruitt inherited at Tennessee.

Missouri's leader in receptions is TE Albert Okwuegbunam with 43.

I disagree on Kirby. Jury's still out as far as him being national title caliber, but he's already won a conference title, he's won the east two years in a row, and they're about to have another 11-1 regular season. They've also been recruiting on Alabama levels for three years now.

He’s won the east in a garbage filled east. Now that UF and TN have legit coaches we will see. He’s James Franklin except wearing red and has a bowl cut.

All 7 and I'll see y'all in Atlanta next December.
well, it'd certainly be a setp in that direction...lol.

i think Wright, Pappoe, one of those running backs, one of the WR's are definitely coming.

Watson and Crouch, not sure about, though the vibe from crouch was good after his visit. Eboigbe....man, i just can't see it. but if we could get him that'd be awesome. WAtson, i'm just not sure how much there is to the "grayson 3" as if it's a package deal. but again, it's possible.

i think we've put ourselves in a good position at this point, and have a real shot at landing several of the names on that list.

no way we get them all. but say we land 4 or 5 of those names on that list....................it'd still be freaking awesome.

lol.

it did occur to me that if we finish 8-5, i'll be more impressed than i was with Kirby's 8-5. like, by a lot.................

Pruitt has been telling guys this will be his worst season here. He’s going to go 7-5, one win away from intern Jones’ ceiling. We’re going to compete for championships with this coaching staff fellas. And it will not take long, especially when he’s recruiting top 5-7 classes like he will in his first full recruiting class

I thought we went 9-4 twice under Butch. Could have just been a dream though :):)

Dabo went 8-4 and won his division in his first full season, 9-3 and won conference in year 3, year 4 went 11-2 and a top 10 finish, same thing in year 5. Not sure if that’s the best example. Everyone on here would love that and far from Kentucky type patience imo

I have a feeling if Pruitt goes 9-3 in year 3 this place will be in complete meltdown mode. I guess I could be wrong.
