I think you can add LSU and Auburn to that list. Although divisional alignment has all but killed the rivalry with Auburn, there still is some significance to beating them. That’s why beating them this year gave Pruitt a complete mulligan for the USC game in my opinion.

LSU is an elite program, and although the historical rivalry is not there like it is with Auburn, it’s still a win you can hang your hat on if you whiff on the three you mention.

I think your larger point is correct though. Georgia, Florida, and Alabama are the games you have to win to be labeled a success at UT.

Don't know that but we finished 2017 ranked 82nd.
2016 = 95th
2015 = 36th
2014 = 37th
2013 = 84th
2012 = 110th

Too early to say for me. If, in year 3, we lose to those guys and we were favorites vs. say, Georgia and Florida? Yeah, I’d be pissed.

What are you basing that off of though? Because his on the field results say otherwise. I'll agree the east hasn't been good, but they still won the conference last year and beat one heck of an Oklahoma team in the playoffs. They were a 3rd and 25 or whatever it was from being the defending national champion as well.

Pretty sure I won't be complaining about anymore 9 and 3's. Winning between 9 and 11 is about all you can ask for IMO. I'd kill to go 9-3. Very solid season in this league.

All depends on the 3 losses. Ex: Beating Florida and Georgia, then proceeding to lose to USC and Vanderbilt to lose the East.
