It’s still USC. His teams were loaded and he couldn’t win and ultimately got fired. He also massively under achieved here with a team full of talent. He’s not terrible but he’s by no means a good head coach.

..I’m sure talent was there but let’s not forget how we considered Crompton a bust.lane completely changed him from having zero confidence in himself as a QB and hardesty was coming off injury I think,he wasn’t handed a Florida roster at the time by any means but he had his work cut out for him for sure.

Not spin just the facts.

I’m not a Kiffin sheep but some arguments you make don’t hold water. USC had massive scholarship reductions so yes he had massive talent but 20 less players than the competition. I wouldn’t call the offensive line he had at UT with 2 walk ons starting loaded with talent. Crompton looked terrible before Kiffin coached him and he turned him into a serviceable QB.

If you don’t like him that’s fine but sometimes that blinds people to reality.

You should go back and look at how much NFL talent was on the team he had here. Berry, stocker, hardesty, Dan Williams, Austin Johnson, Bryce Brown, demaryius Moore, Jac McClendon, Aaron douglas(rip), montori Hughes, Chris Scott. And those are just players that had NFL careers. Not even counting good players like Rico McCoy, Gerald Jones, janzen etc.

Only winning 7 games that year was a crime. I’m not saying kiffin is a horrible coach but i think a lot of people like kiffin especially now and clouds the fact that he has ultimately under achieved every job he has had. It’s still early at FAU.
