I don’t think you can say OL was a “glaring hole” when we had 2 NFL (would’ve been 3 with Douglas), and a 1300+ yard rusher in Hardesty. People get caught up in the twins size but they really weren’t that bad.

I’ll give you corner, even tho i liked rogan but they had berry to cover their asses. Same thing with DE. Walker was ok but they had dan Williams commanding a double in the middle.

When you’ve got two walk ons starting on OL in the SEC, that’s a glaring hole. Kiffin and staff actually did a good job of gameplanning around it, but got exposed vs Va Tech in the bowl.

I’m a fan of Walker and Rogan, but if you’re like me, you tend to think they were a little better than they actually were just because they were Vols. The reality is that we didn’t have a DE or corner on that team that would start for the top half of SEC teams.

Saw where Gray is on campus this weekend - maybe there's some other players in town and they're busy with that (and that's why Freeze is/was here today).

Kirby just needs to take the L on that fake punt. Cost him “20 to 30 yards of field position”? LOL. Apparently he thinks his punter is a lot better at running than punting. It was 4th and 11 and he tried to run an option pitch to his punter.

Since it’s kind of slow in here tonight, I’ve got a random question.

In a situation where we didn’t fire Fulmer when we did - say maybe we learned from another school kind of like how UGA did from us and probably held on to Richt a couple extra years longer - who might we have hired? Say we let him go until 2010 and then he retires and has some say in his replacement or whatever. Who was available? Or who would we have promoted that maybe could’ve kept us going like Kirby has at UGA?

Just a few good ones I saw. There are a few “Fire Kirby” threads and also quite a bit of “we’re doomed and will never win the important ones.”
The most underachieving program in college football history; they are top dawg when it comes to choking.

One of the most fertile recruiting grounds in all the country, and they have managed 3 SEC Championships in the last 30-35 years, if I'm not mistaken; and haven't won a NT in almost 4 decades, 2 in their entire history.

With the talent that comes out of that state, no reason they shouldn't be mentioned with the Bama's, and Ohio St's, and USC's, when it comes to football empires; yet, that is so far from the case.

I hope they wail and moan all night, the chokeheads!

Patterson or Cutcliffe

Well I mean they're at worst one of the top 5 programs in college football. Continue to think they'll be a juggernaut for years to come.
