Solid coach. Gotta give credit to coaches like him and Mason, doing more with less.

He has this bizarre love of NW and won’t look to another place where he could win. Rose Bowl hopes for this team is there absolute ceiling. But he will end up being a championship DC for a guy like Pruitt or Smart or somebody like that.

Saban is 138-14 at Bama since 2008.

Will likely be ~154-15 or so by the end of the 2019 season. 91% win rate. Absolutely unreal.

My opinion,

Kiffin was young and let’s assume it was his dream job. It sucks and it set us back big time but water under the bridge. We all secretly wonder what could have been if he stayed.

Dooley. Just flat out missmatched. He tried, had decent offense (unless it was a stout opponent), couldn’t field a defense and the whole no oline in a recruiting class still pissss me off. He was just a panic hire.

Now butch. He was close. Like really close. But he was controlling, couldn’t manage players, and made the biggest mistake of any of them by essentially scrapping our strength and conditioning program. Mix that in with an attitude toward our fan base for being pissed he choked and you get an admin who extended his contact a year too soon and a spiteful ex coach ( see Bama intern salary)

I agree and dislike butch the most mainly because he allowed us to have our worst season In history because he thought he was better than the situation he put us in.

Where besides Bama are both your QB's hesiman level guys? Name one other school where that is even a possibility.

I think he's better than Mason personally. More like Franklin to me. I mean his teams are usually in the 2 or 3 spot for the Big 10 west. I'm impartial though I'm a Northwestern student and I see him in the gym sometimes chatting with his players. He's typically upbeat and inspirational.
