I will say, without the CFB Playoffs there’s no doubt the media would’ve deemed Bama National Champs this year after beating OU.

I don’t really like it as is, but the most deserving team is without a doubt the one true National Champion.

This has never been a particularly compelling statistic to me since the tie in and selections are generally set up to be as competitive as possible. Statistically, you would expect each conference to end between 40-60% win/loss.

Especially if the selection intentionally matches the SEC up with harder draws because of the rep of the league.
