So the leg cramps continued well into the night. I tried to do everything I could while at work, ate bananas, some pickle juice, gatorade, stretching...couldn't seem to get any relief.

About 3AM I went to sleep on the couch so I could elevate my legs, seemed to help a bit. Wife came in there and scared the daylights out of me. So went back to bed and got out the heating pad...basically fell asleep with it on medium, probably had it on for a couple hours. This morning though seems to have done the trick.

Still a little confused what happened to cause the issue.

You and the wife need to change positions more often.

Not a doctor here so take what I say with a grain of salt. I have issues with my parathyroid which caused low calcium. Long story short when my calcium gets low, I cramp in weird places, sometime all of my body for no reason. I’ll be perfectly hydrated but it will cause constant cramps until I can get my calcium up. Quick solution is eating a bunch of Tums. (Like 10+ Lol)
Most likely not the issue your having but at least something to think about if it continues to happen.

In all seriousness, if it comes back like that, get yourself checked for clots. Deep vein thrombosis is usually felt in the calves but I guy I worked out with had his in the hamstring. He was very healthy too. They can feel like bad cramps apparently. Left unchecked can be fatal.

Better safe than sorry if you get unexplained cramps like that.

I want you around to see our next Natty.

Nah Martinez isnt the problem. The talent that was left for them is the problem.

Yep - some fans are starting to make this fallacious assumption about player performance: "If he has a Power T helmet and UT is in the Top 10, he must be an SEC-caliber talent and only coaching is holding him back."

The truth is much of Tennessee's roster still resembles that of a program in the second year of a major rebuild. It's the coaching that has gotten us into the Top 10 so quickly, not the other way around.

Until this staff can recruit a full roster of their own players, I don't think we can judge them or begin firing them. We need stability above all else.

I don't think I have parathyroid...but low calcium could be the issue. I'll grab some milk at lunch and put down a pint. Cause I'm hydrated as all get out (based on color of pee). So it's confusing!

I'm not sure if our on-field success helps us with the current recruiting class. Seems like it would make a lot of kids take a second look at us, but I'm not sure that's happening. It's weird because the path to playing time is definitely easier here than it is at programs like Bama or Georgia where they stacked highly rated classes. And we seem to have a top-notch NIL collective. I love the class we currently have, but there are still glaring needs to be addressed. Especially at DL and OL. I'm hoping a lot of talent hits the portal after the season because I think we're going to have to hit the portal hard to supplement this class and fill needs.
Didn't realize recruiting for this year was over! This time last year we didn't know who Joseph's, Pearce and West were or at least I didn't..

This is almost ALWAYS my first worry...but I legit just had my yearly physical and nothing came up of concern. But maybe the stuff they typically test wouldn't be enough to show clots?

I'm not sure what I keep missing with Levis...how are people regarding him so widely?

I mean he's got the size 6'3" 220+ and he's not having a bad year if you look at his stats.

79 of 117 for 67.5% 1185 passing yards 10 TDs 4 INTs

Hooker for comparison
81 of 113 for 71.7% 1193 passing yards 8 TDs 0 INTs (175 rushing yards and 3 TDs)

NFL scouts drool over college QBs that are playing in a "pro" system, and Stoops keeps bringing in former NFL position coaches to be his OCs. As MoCo_Vol mentioned, the measurables are certainly there, so they see him as having an upper leg on guys like Hendon or CJ Stroud, that are probably considered "System" QBs more so than Levis.

The difference here is that we have played two ranked teams and they've played one. Against Florida Levis had 200 yards 1 td and 1 pick.

Hooker has also only played a half in two games we've played. Levis played all four quarters in every game they've played. All of his stats have come against three cupcakes.

Against Florida (their only P5 opponent) 13 of 24 for 54% 202 passing yards 1 TD 1 INT.

Plus winning 10 games at Kentucky and starting 4-0 and being in the top 10 aren't hurting his hype.
