I don’t think Martinez is the problem with our secondary. We just need more SEC caliber players back there. WM is able to identify talent and the players like him. We don’t need to fire anyone right now.

We fire at least 1 coach before the 1st qtr ends every week. Why should the bye week be any different?

They’re much more focused on the run game than we are. We lead conf in pass (365) ypg. They lead in rushing (280) ypg and they’re dead last in pass ypg (207)

Both teams run variations of the veer and shoot…They prefer to run more out of it.

Beat Bama. IF UGA is our only lost a UGA over Bama in the SEC championship game would probably get us in the playoff.

Also I hate Bama.

The most important games for Tennessee are
1. Tennessee over Bama.
2. Tennessee over the SEC East
3. Tennessee over the other SEC west (LSU this year)
4. Tennessee over OOC
5. OOC over SEC teams
6. SEC west over SEC east
7. Upsets in the SEC east.

I mean, I don’t fully disagree as they do seem to focus more on it, but Id also say matchups have dictated a lot of that. They have had better success so far, but they also haven’t played anyone yet. Meanwhile we had to play Pitt which kept our run game in check (141) and made us lean on the passing game more and I’m not sure Ole Miss does much better than us rushing in that scenario. Our other games we’ve gone over 220 YPG. I think this weekend will tell us a lot about their true rushing attack vs UK though. If they run all over them, then yeah, that rushing attack is pretty good. If they don’t, then those numbers may be just a bit inflated.

Edit: I think I’m more focusing on if their rushing attack is good while you’re just saying they focus on it more but not necessarily that it’s better. If so, disregard.

Damn, that's a tough decision...

I'd love to MAKE the SECCG over anything else, to at least give us a chance to make they playoffs without dispute. I'm not sure if we'd get more respect as a 2-loss SECCG loser, or a 1-loss non-participant.

I could literally go either way.
