fair. would have been better stated to say "it can't be said TN hasn't recruited well....."......

agreed. he can 'cruit.

sustaining it is the hardest part. but a lot like with the 23 class, they've started early on the 24 class, and this past season will leave an impression for sure as many of those kids were on campus for several of these big games, so i expect we'll be in the thick of it for many of the same players Bama, GA, aTm, LSU, FL etc....are all after as well.

Yessir!

Right now the average per player for the '24 class is 92.66!

That's just with 3 players in the boat though, but still a great start. Hopefully we land Wingo and Gibson to the class, and if we can get Jadyn Davis on board that'll be huge too.

Surprise you had a good experience on the north shore. They arent exactly welcoming to outsiders.

Definitely can be unwelcoming. We experienced that on some of the trips but other trips they were very welcoming to us because I was with a group of friends where a few were from Hawaii, just other islands. One of my friends actually had cousins that lived there and we hung out with them on a few trips.

I’d love to hit up the other islands. I’ve been to Oahu 7 times but it was never my choice, it was just a port visit on deployments. If you escape Waikiki and get around the island it’s really nice but wish I could have tried a different island. Buddy of mine was from Big Island and we were supposed to catch a quick flight over there for a couple days on one of our stops but the plans fell through. I was bummed.
Big island was so much better than oahu

A thousand times better

Like comparing Ocracoke island
Then going to myrtle beach

Just touristy and fake as hell

Ugh. I was so bummed when the plans fell through to go to Big Island. Was only going to be there 2 days but we were going to stay with my friends family and we’re were going to do a bunch of hiking and his friends were going to do a big cookout one night. His dumbass got in trouble a month before we were supposed to visit though and got his overnight privileges revoked and had to sleep on the ship each night. Plans ruined. 😒

They were tough guys when I visited. Luckily I met a surf-shop owner who taught me how to surf and make surf boards, gave me a job for the summer. I started sneaking around with one of the local chicks and almost got killed over it. Eventually I proved I was the better man than many of the thug locals and better surfer by competing in a surfing tournament at the end of the summer. . . good times.

This will always be my favorite part of when I visited Oahu while in the Navy.

I went there with my mother and Grand father. He was there on Dec 7, 1941. The only time I ever saw the man cry.

Top 5 experience in my life!

Edit..................I think everyone knows what I mean. Not saying seeing him cry was a great experience.

My youngest turns 10 today. I think I am about to see the end of the innocence. I agree whole heartedly with @Glitch 's previous sharing. time goes by too fast, enjoy it all!

Y’all don’t do this to me. I’ve got a five and two year old. I am their favorite person and do not want that to change.
