"So, Jeremy, did you pay the players on your own accord and with cash in bags?"

"Yes sir, that was all me. Big Jeremy's own idea. Thank you very much".

"Well, Mr. Pruitt, it was not allowed to do and severely broke many major rules. If you're saying you did this with no one above you's knowledge, then everything rests on your shoulders"

"Aight thank you sir! Yes I got big shoulders and carry that responsibility of making sure we had the best recruits. I'm glad you brought me here today to acknowledge my achievements and give me this award. I just want to say, to my wife Casey, I wouldn't be here without you..."

"MR. PRUITT! You aren't very bright are you?"

"Well sir, turn on up the lights so you can see me better (pause) Aight now where's the bathroom? I need to dry off these steaks I have in my pocket"

I'm always curious how attorneys and clients agree on billable hours for ongoing cases like these. Are they just open ended? Hit a max hour limit and then have to meet and discuss overage hours and why they're necessary. By the last count I read we've paid our lawyers $1mm or more. Jeez.

I'm more familiar with the CPA side, where things tend to be a bit more standardized. X hours for an annual audit, y for consulting on an as-needed basis, z hours for specific types of tax filings, etc.

How does anyone ever know attorneys are doing things and not just jerking them around when they can always say, "there's new information!"? Who audits the attorneys?

I sympathize with them, a little bit. They don’t want a second legacy started in the program, and that’s an understandable sentiment. You see it all the time when people lose family members. It’s not easy to move on.

But you have to move on. I know it’s been Pat’s program since basically day one, but it can’t be that forever. I doubt Pat would have wanted it that way, either.

Coach Pat Summitt would want the program to dominate. She would want great coaches and players. No doubt.

Yep. She'd want to fix it. She thought Holly had earned her shot-- but she wouldn't have watched her flounder for years. UT assumes some responsibility for letting the LV program get to where it is. Some are okay with it; others aren't. It's a political football.

“I plead the asparagus.”

Again, I will just say getting old and cranky and completely losing your sense of humor as you clearly have, is just sad.

Last year’s baseball team wrote checks this baseball team couldn’t cash.I’m optimistic for the future but I’ve kinda called it a season this year so the losses don’t hurt as bad…it’s just “ehh” 🤷🏽‍♂️ for me🤣🤣

Yep - I don't blame Tony V or anyone, but there was just too much to replace and the schedule is brutal. It's like having the entire starting offense leave the football team, and then having the opening seven games on the road against Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, LSU, Texas A&M, etc. It's probably more than just about any team could have handled.

I'm hoping they find their footing in the back half of the schedule, and that maybe they can steal a win or two this weekend. Still lots of ball left to play!

The pitching is the weirdest part.
Yeah I think bringing back who we were, that would be the backbone of this team even with the offense likely not producing like it did the previous couple years.

So as the pitching falters some and defensive errors continue to rear their ugly head... Yeah that's where the frustration comes from.

I can deal with getting beat by better teams... But to know we had a hand in beating ourselves... That's what sucks. And is/should be totally fixable... So there is some hope that we can still close the season strong and maybe get a run going for post season stuff
