Would you have rather had Butch Jones for an additional 3 years or stick with Pruitt for those years?
Sure. At least his teams could be fun to watch at times and at least his goober ways weren't boring. And nobody got consistently BLOWN OUT like Jeremy's teams. That wasn't fun.

The Pruitt years combined new levels of losing with a terribly boring style. He managed to dig at the fanbase for not showing up for his snoozer Spring game, while also digging at his own players by saying he'd just recruit over them midgame. He was a special sort of douche dummy that thought people should kneel before him...all while he held an IQ of 68, though they do call that 100 in Alabama I suppose. Bless his heart.

I'm trying to figure out how they think someone is 6.2 times more likely to be struck by this debris than to be struck by lightning. Intuitively, that sounds like some really faulty math considering the frequency of lightning strikes on earth versus this singular event of a falling satellite.
There's just way too much to unpack without details.

They said the "risk of harm" is 1 in 2000 whatever. "Risk of harm" is extremely vague. What does that exactly mean?!

If it means 1 in 2000 people could be injured, then that's a few million people. If it means 1 in 2000 chance it will hit anywhere with humans, then the variation becomes insanely different between a house in the middle of Siberia and downtown Tokyo.

Jmo but I say we all hope for ocean or Antarctica...

Man...who would have guessed that lowly transfer QB from Va Tech (who benched him?? 😅) would end up our first 1st-round QB since Peyton?

It sounds like he's a damn near lock at this point and top-15 or even 10 isn't out of the question.

QBs and WRs should be lining up and begging to come here. And now your QB coach is your OC on top of it.

So, I didn't see the press conference yesterday and I'm not going back through the pages, but Hamlin basically confirmed what happened was a freak accident. Extremely scary stuff.

TBH, I wouldn't say extremely unlikely to happen again. In contact sports the odds of it happening are much higher than they are for the general population. It might not happen in another NFL game but when you include all of football from pop warner on up the odds grow much higher. That's why it's a thing in baseball and drove so much of the gear kids use today. I don't think it's ever happened in a MLB game but it happens every year in baseball and usually results in death because kids playing little league don't have an army of docs hanging out in the dugout and very few have portable defibs that the general public can use in emergencies.

But I do think it's important for people to be aware of it. Maybe then we'd see more portable defibs made available at schools and rec leagues. Sure, it might not ever be used for commotio cordis but I promise you it will still save lives.

Accepted a job offer for a fully remote engineering position on Friday!! This lets our family move out of this awful place called Middle Georgia and back to God’s Country in Middle Tennessee 🙌🏼. Just grateful today.
Congratulations on escaping Georgia, but God's Country is East Tennessee.

He told me so.

This just popped up on my FB memory. 8 years ago engagement announcement!! That they say about time flying when you get older…IT’S TRUE. Need some good football news to cheer me up.

Is that you and your hubbie? If so, why was I thinking you were older??
