Here's a better question, how does a guy who fails over and over as an NFL OC get FOUR DIFFERENT NFL OC jobs?!

The NFL is filled with the most talented football players alive. The NFL is run by the most unimaginative GM's and coaches alive. It's the biggest nepotistic society both literally and figuratively, outside of Washington DC.

You don't think the Washington commanders are run the same way?

I wonder if our staff is just tight-lipped about who they are pursuing and not sharing that info with guys like Hubbs and AP? Surely we are chasing more players than have been mentioned

@Weezer , take a deep breath, a step back and just be patient.

Let the current DB recruits get on campus. Let the coaches see where they are and how ready they are. Then they will dive into looking for transfer help just like they have done in the past here.

Why don’t you organize our current DB commits into EE and non-EE and present that to the RFFTT (recruiting forum football talk thread). Then we can reasonably discuss it.

Until then, quit your hand ringing. It’s unbecoming to your status as a RF regular…

My family could use some prayers for peace and comfort. My wife's grandmother is 96 and has been in a nursing home for several months now. They just verified today that she has been having a series of strokes and at least one more serious stroke. They have started her on Morphin, so not sure how much longer she has. This is my wife's last remaining grandparent and it is hitting her pretty hard.

Prayers sent 🙏

Definitely! I’ve never been a fan of his version of the Air Raid…deemphasizes the running game too much. But as a HC, he had a number of significant wins and his teams were dangerous and relevant.
The dude changed football and introduced an entirely new scheme into a 100+ year old sport. He changed how offense is played and he changed how defense is played because of it. He won more games at places no other coach could. His personality is completely unique and his impact on the sport, from players to coaches, is massive. He is most definitely a Hall of Fame coach based on his accomplishments in the sport and impact on how the sport is played through his innovations.

Leach was an awesome personality and his stories will be told forever, but let’s be real - he’s not a hall of fame coach

That's a bad take if I ever seen one...

Texas Tech had 2 9 win seasons from 1977 to 1999, Leach had 4 in his 10 years there, and their first 11 win season since 1973. He's responsible for 5 of their 10 best win totals in school history
Washington State only 1 11 win season in school history, Mike Leach in 2018. They hadn't had a 7 win season since 2003 and he had 4 straight in his time there.

Hell the Mike Leach coaching tree alone should put him in the HOF.

84 wins at Texas Tech is best in school history and his 66.1% career winning percentage is the best since Pete Cawthon (1932-1940).
55 wins at Washington State is the third best in school history (and he did it in 8 years while both guys ahead of him were there 14 or longer). And his 53.9% career winning percentage there is 2nd best among coaches to coach at least 30 games in their career.

Hell even in just 3 years at Mississippi State Leach's 19 wins is good enough for the 12th most in program history (they've had 32 total coaches) and the 2nd most of coaches with less than 40 games coached.
