Recruiting Forum: Football Talk XI

^This a 1000 times. WE are the ones who change the world - every single one of us and it's our responsibility to do it right. The bad actors make it a nasty one sometimes but the good ones make people of all colors, ethnic backgrounds, religions, political persuasions etc. realize that there's good and bad in every group. Humans are the same when you really dig past the superficial distinctions. Once humanity really starts to see this and understand it we will see a much better and much more peaceful world for every single one of us.

That is so true.

Also note that the author predicted South Carolina to beat us last year by a score of 33-16 but at least in that game we defied the odds. Obviously we need to be a lot more defiant this year.

TimeWarner better give me the SEC Network is all I'm saying.

Directv had better too! I just don't see the network being hindered by only allowing customers of dish network being able to watch the network. It would not make sense… They would lose a ton of viewers by doing that.

I can't imagine DTV and cable not eventually coming to an agreement with the SECN. Would be dumb on their part. I'm sure they're just holding out for the most $.

I think the SEC priced our network ($/subscriber) at a premium to the other big conference networks and the distributors are waiting for the SEC to lower their rates. Meanwhile the SEC is hoping our fans will pressure the distributors to pay them the higher subscriber rates. The fans are just pawns in this ordeal but if we miss a few games it will be just as much the responsibility of the conference office as it is the distributors. I just find it difficult to believe that there are still people who think that college football is not all about money for the guys in suits? jmo.

They better not hold out to long. I'm giving them till beginning of July then I'm getting DISH.

Looks like the Arkansas state game is a "sunscreen special"..

Wow, Dolphins with a 1st-round grade on JaWuan James. One of five OTs to get that from them - others were elite guys like Lewan, Matthews, Robinson, etc. I never thought he would go higher than Tiny but all those other guys are gonna be gone by the 19th pick. It could easily happen.

I think Tiny has the higher potential, but that knee has everyone worried. I think the bulk of our rushing yards were behind Fulton and JJ, so maybe JJ can sneak into that 1st round.

Are we underestimating the OL/DL issue?

Simple question.

Personally, i believe the skepticism is warranted seeing how we replace all new starters on the two most important sides of the ball, other than QB. So, imo to an extent, yes, some of us are. At the same time, it's a huge unknown. It's hard to scale where we are currently, because neither side has a seasoned product to grade off of. If we had a veteran oline and new dline, we could scale it much easier, and vice versa. So, it's largely unknown just how good we are or aren't on both sides of the ball. Personally, I see a lot of growing pains and hit our stride around October

If Justin can learn to run, I think we'll be okay on the OL. He's a big boy and can take a few hits, though he's got to get more natural at it. I still think it's entirely possible that the coaches told him not to run last year in order to avoid injury and keep the redshirts on Dobbs and Ferguson.

I was just watching some FSU tape from last year and noticed that their OL was easily the weakest part of their game. Jameis was running for his life on a lot of plays, way more than you would expect for a national title contender. Worked out okay for them though.

I think we win at least 3 sec games. And another thing I've never understood is the Josh Smith hate haha ya he dropped some passes in some key situations, but people remember he was a true freshman right? Haha he was a low three star coming out of high school you can't of expected him to have the impact of a 5* like Malone or Hurd.
