Agree. JW balled out vs UGA. I might say we would have won if Dobb's came in for JW when he got banged up in the 3rd qtr.

Also wonder how we would have fared with OU. That game was much closer than the final score.

The Georgia game may have been the first game where the Dobb's question is appropriate. I find no fault with going with Worley to start the season where he had maintained such confidence and had such improved throwing skills. Going up against the savage defenses with the protection problems may have left both Worley and Dobbs vulnerable. No need to spend QB resources needlessly. They are not inexhaustible.

Jones was an eyelash away from an incredible set back if the SC game slipped away. My gut sense is that the second guessing is not helpful and that the QB situation has played just about as well as it could have.

Dobbs got back at 3am this morning and was at First Baptist Sevierville this morning speaking to the youth. Back to watch film at 2pm. I say he will sleep good tonight.

I'm not going to break it down, because I'll do that for the pre-game thread when the time comes, but Mizzou really is not good on offense at all. Here are their points scored against teams with a pulse.

Indiana 27 (L)
USCe 21 (we just saw that USCe defense)
UGA 0
FL 42 (1 offensive TD, 119 yards of offense)
Vandy 24
KY 21

I'm not saying they are the worst 5-2 team in the nation, but they have not been overwhelming... AT ALL.

That defense is stout though. Cupcakes make it look better than it is.

We're on the same page Nick. Good summary.

Any one watching the 98 Arkansas game on SEC network right now?

Yes watching. How about those glasses on the head ref. Also forgot about "Smokey on the Prowl" over the PA. Wife and I were at that game. She brought 2 panchos one orange and one she had bought at wal mart and it was red I wouldn't allow either of us to wear the red one. Haha I was soaked.

Now through Dobbs' last 3 games, Kentucky, Alabama and South Carolina, he is:

56 of 95 for 692 yards 6 TDs and 3 Ints. Also has 50 carries for 283 yards and 4 TDs.

Just for fun, multiply those numbers by 4, and you get a taste of what a full 12 game season could be like with a healthy Dobbs at QB:

224 of 380 for 2,768 yards, 24 TDs and 12 Ints, plus 200 carries for 1,132 yards and 16 TDs. Those would be all SEC type numbers.

Must cut down his carries a bit to try and keep him healthy. Also would like to see his accuracy improve a smidge. The future is bright -- this kid could really be special for us.

So, so nice to go a few weeks without Riley Ferguson being brought up

Kentucky plays much better at home than they do on the road. We bring it as a fanbase, Kentucky will struggle.

Yep. They played a good game against Florida on the road, but other than that they have been pretty ineffective.

UK has a slightly worse offense than USC and a slightly better defense. As long as we can get away from giving up huge plays like we did to the Cooper twins the last two weeks, I doubt they will score more than 21 or so.

Missouri might. But to call it a sure loss at this point is a step off of the edge of insanity.

Yeah, GA shut them out, and we played GA closely with Worley as quarterback. I don't think it's a sure loss... (Plus a full Neyland is the best home field advantage)
