I don't disagree with most of the reasons you guys listed in favor of Jones, just the notion that it's irrefutable or even laughable to suggest otherwise.

There are still plenty of questions regarding this staff, significantly less than the previous regime but, it is because of the lessons learned from that disgrace of a head IDIOT that I scrutinize so thoroughly.

Per Austin Price, Josh Smith is undergoing surgery on Thursday. The type of surgery is called the "tight rope procedure." Recovery time is roughly 6 weeks.

They will pursue a medical redshirt.

Guys I love the Vols but we have to remember.. USCe is one of the worst defensive teams in the nation. Of course Dobbs looked good. Hell Kentucky beat them using a gimmick offense. I believe Dobbs will be a great QB but it's crazy to start a Heisman campaign for him after one game.

Unreal.
@Josh_Ward: Via @JBradEdwards: Over its last four winning seasons, Auburn is 19-1 in one-possession games. Wow.

Let me guess, you've been reading in the FF.:p

ESPN said the percentage of UT beating Scar down by 14 with 4 mins left was .9%

So I have been on VolNation for years, but never posted. I am curious if we feel any offensive recruits that passed on us may be giving a different look now based on the offense from the last 2 weeks. Seeing how a dynamic quarterback makes every aspect of our offense more of a threat. I know if I was an offensive recruit and saw how we performed in games such as Ole Miss and Florida that I would think again about putting my future at risk in a non existent offense. Do players like Jefferson give us another look as well as what does this do for kids such as Frasier and Newsome who are high on us before Dobbs got to play. You have to think they see the next 2 years much brighter, wouldn't you?

He looked good against Bama, too.

Mauk was only 12-34 for 130 against that South Carolina. He was 9-21 for 97 yards vs UGA, and though they beat Florida bad, it was due to the fact UF turned it over 6 times and Mizzou returned a punt and a KO for td's. Mauk was 6-18 for 20 yards vs the Gators and the team only managed 119 total yards. The Missouri offense is currently 119th in the country despite playing a really easy schedule. I think if we can score 21 on them we win that game.

Kentucky won that game because Thompson threw three int's, with two being in the 4th qtr, one of which was returned for the game winning td.

Here's a like. Just cause you waited 3 years to post.

Mauk isn't good at all

I saw somewhere that Vandy fans (All 1 of them) think they are going to win out now after ODU. So for the love of the game I'm going to do an over/under for total yards versus Florida. I'm going to set it at 100.

I take under.

Beating a 3-6 Old Dominion team (and giving up a ton of yards and 28 points) will do that for you.

Welcome to the posting madness . As to your question , perhaps some renewed interest after the end of the year . Here's hoping anyway .

Just for laughs, here's some quotes from a FF regular (not going to include a name). These were posted over the last few weeks:

"All I do is shake my head when I think of jones. if I didn't know any better I would think he has never been a head coach before. he has done a horrible job this year. He is on Dooley's level.

"when jones is fired in 2 or 3 years we will still be hearing these lame excuses. its just a matter of time before people realize jones doesn't get it."

"losing record is expected at UT. isn't anybody listening it is part of jones process."

"because we are going backwards and the coaching staff sucks. no matter what process jones is talking about."

SGMVols?

Wow, that's comical. Considering all the drama and sh*tstorm that dummy stirred up.
