Lol comparing Utah while they were in the Mountain West isn’t the same as being at a lower tier school relative to the Rest of the SEC.

MSU’s budget, backing, facilities compared to (Bama, UGA, TN...etc) are significantly less. Especially when Mullen first got there. He’s has literally turned that into a viable program now. There’s a reason why UFs offense struggled without him even tho they still had a lot of talent. Remember: Florida offered him twice and so did Penn State. They are doing that for a reason. I worked at MSU for a year while Sly was the coach. What he is doing is better than what Franklin did at vandy and look how that turned out.

We stared off 7-1 in 2006 ranked in the top 6 or 7 I think.

Some coaches are good at turning programs around and some are good at winning championships. Agree to disagree but Mullen doesn’t strike me as a coach that will win championships.
