After some thought: If it had been a "bust" player instead of Jennings, fans would have called Currie/Hoke "weak" if they didn't take serious action.

I hate it for Jennings and hope the new staff can find a way to bring him back, but if a player gets hurt, goes MIA for the whole season, and then tries to come back the Wednesday of game week of course the coaches don't let him play. And THEN goes all over social media about it. He's gonna be gone.

Jennings would be dumb to play. He can shirt this year. As long as he is healthy I think he goes pro after next season. But imagine he breaks his arm in week 4 next year. It would stink for him to not have that year of eligibility left.
