Gotta send a message to other players that you just can't do what JJ did. Coaches would lose 100% of the team if they let a player publicly disrespect them like that and did nothing.

This is so obvious and logical. I don't understand why some must have it explained to them.

With all due respect to your son, Ruthetford Co coaches and, players for that matter, are not going to hang onto this as a reason not to go to UT. Esp the coaches. They will in no way give JJ a pass for what he said.

It would be nice if they could hold it together one more week so we don't hit those historical lows of never losing 8 games and winless in the conference. If this divides the team they may not even be competitive against Vandy.

Perhaps Jennings legitimately IS on his 7th strike (give or take a few) and has very, very poor odds of finishing his career at Tennessee without screwing up again based on a pattern of behavior.

Currie knows this and knows that dismissing Jennings will be a VERY unpopular move. To spare the new coach the backlash before he has even coached a game, he instructed Hoke to go ahead and pull the plug, seeing as how Hoke will be gone in a matter of days.

This makes a lot of sense. Still too bad.

You don't criticize your coaches... period. His move was weak and childish, so he was treated like a child.

Why is it stupid? Not like being kicked off this team is any punishment. He's doing us a favor by even trying to come back. This program is a joke and the sooner he gets away the better it will be for his career. TN football is in need of a serious reboot.

Goes back to the misunderstanding about freedom of speech. Absolutely has the right to express his feelings. That expressions also brings with it consequences.

He felt he got lied to, which seems to be a common theme from this regime, he acted out. I don't agree with his method but a dismissal from an interim with less than a week remaining is not a good decision. it's wreckless

I'm not even that much older than a lot of these kids who think that way, but I just can't relate to their mindset. At all.
