Terrible time for this to happen. Definitely could be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Hope Currie has our next coach already signed to a contract, and not just a MOU, or he may have a lot of work to do when he gets back from his vacation in the Bahamas.

He felt he got lied to, which seems to be a common theme from this regime, he acted out. I don't agree with his method but a dismissal from an interim with less than a week remaining is not a good decision. it's wreckless

If he cools down and waits, he gets a new coaching staff. Now the new coaching staff has one less headache.

You don't criticize your coaches... period. His move was weak and childish, so he was treated like a child.

You should always question authority when it’s being unjust. Now I don’t know all the details about the other stuff JJ has done behind the scenes but if it’s just drug related stuff and him speaking from the heart in this video then that’s BS. Kid deserved a chance to redeem himself with a new coaching staff.

I guess its 'Ah Okay' to call JJ a mental case and describing his depression to players in a fashion that divided the ****ing team. That's why JJ wasn't on the sideline. Yeah, he may have got away with a lot more but Darrell Taylor is still on the team after aggravated assault??? And that's worse than calling out Hoke and butch for running three damn plays??

You think Dooley hurt us you wait till more **** comes out. Our next coach is going to be paying a lot of his salary to mend bridges instate.

Y’all bring good points to both sides of this argument. It’s a real shame a kid’s future took a hit today because a childish decision. Hope he gets a chance.

He gets that chance if he could turn off the dumb for another week.

And I really hate it, but it should be. They really don't have a choice. I'm afraid he also just lost a lot of NFL money.

A boss. A superior. A coach has no desire to have somebody under their leadership that acts in that manner. If that employee is very, very, very good then you can usually find a coach to ignore that behavior. So unfortunately for JJ, his NFL prospectus will come down to convincing an NFL coach he is Terrel Owens. Good luck with that.

i don't disagree with that. I disagree with Hoke making a decision

You don't want to make the new coach dismiss one of, if not THE most popular player on the team if he's a locker room cancer or just a constant screw up who is on his 7th strike.

last thing I will say about this-- he could have worded his venting a different way and would still be on the team right now.
He could have easily said how upset he was that he was not being allowed to play and felt lied to ... You make your point. He took it beyond too far and is now paying for it. Temper your actions with Wisdom.

This is a fair interpretation of it

Is he a headache for a competent staff who knows how to handle players?

Not sure, but would have liked if they were able to make that call.

it's his team. if I was the new coach my thought is "don't make that decision for me". He's understandably disgruntled. he didn't commit a crime.

You see it as dumb. I see it as him being honest. Stupid that Currie and the AD kicked him off the team for being real.

Go ahead and be real to your boss when you’re good and emotional. Then justify it to your unemployment case worker.

That's a good point. Can go both ways and both sides have reasonable arguments.
