As much as I agree with this philosophically, we were better off with Hart the Hack not making another coaching hire.

IN between hart & Currie, butch needed to be gone.
We ( the university in general) blew it by not having an AD in place before the new year And when Currie was hired, that should have been Job ONE, Clean house and get his guy in and had them start at ground zero.

I guarantee that UF offered him more than that. The Clemson DC, that we apparently have zero interest in, is shutting out USCjr in the 3rd qtr and has allowed only 114 total yards. 7 BCS championship appearances, but Greg Schiano is a better option.

Venables would be a big time hire. Don't know why we haven't been hearing his name more.

Yep. National guys like Forde and Feldman were saying last year that they couldn't forsee him taking a job in the South. He would rather be somewhere like Arizona St than an SEC school. UCLA happened to be the one that opened first.
