Not many "Bubbas" in prison are going to be able to take an elite athlete that's 6'1" and 250 lbs and has a penchant for murdering people.

He is probably going to continue his behavior in prison. Whether gangster or serial killer, he doesn't seem to have a conscience.

Agreed. Look at Lawrence Phillips. Hernandez is likely a sociopath with a life sentence and no chance of the death penalty. Wouldn't be surprised if he's still violent behind bars.

Not at all. Did you watch any of the trial? If so, you are aware of the holes in the States case.

I wouldn't be shocked to see this overturned at some point.

I didn't watch or follow it much because that is my business. I will say that the defense got a big break when the judge didn't let some evidence in. As a defense attorney, I would have argued it, too, but I was surprised it wasn't let in.

Appeals are not guaranteed...at all. Most cases get affirmed.

This. Especially if some evidence did not make it in.

I should really know better... but Blair sat out last year, so does that make him a JR or SR this year?

Those are some really impressive reps by Blair in that video.

Maybe it's just me not understanding the intricacies of line play, but it's difficult to see that and not feel that he'd immediately make our line better by slotting in at LT. If nothing else, he looks like he won't be physically overmatched by a Shane Ray or an Eric Striker like Thomas and Kerbyson were. He must really struggle with scheme or film study or something.

Hope he busts his ass to correct whatever his flaws are. He's clearly talented enough to make our football team better.

Interesting quotes from Hubbs on 104.5 today (courtesy of VQ):

Don't ever underestimate the value of blitzing the QB without bringing the kitchen sink. When you can get double digit sacks from two DE in Maggitt and Barnett you can play back end football a whole lot better. That had that luxury last year.

You don't see many teams out there that can get to the QB with a 4 man natural rush. Those that can will succeed. Those that can't can strive but also give up some big plays.

I'm predicting a top 10 passing defense this year. Barnett and Maggitt will hurry QBs on every passing down and Sutton/Martin will make it extremely difficult for them to complete passes against us in the small window they have to throw.

To me, this is why our DT play could be so important. With those guys on the outside, if we can generate a push up the middle and keep the QB from stepping up our defense could be unstoppable.

Phillips+Barnett+Tuttle+KM next year will be just as good if not better. That's an elite DL.

Great for Coleman Thomas. This just reaffirms that his arrest was so inconsistent with his past behavior and efforts with the team. Welcome back!!!!!! Now he can get back to helping this team get better and better.

His arrest was premature. No doubt
