aTm loss was turnovers. Had JRM and Cam played it may not have been. Two critical leaders on the sidelines, that could have controlled Knight and been in the offense's grills over TO's quickly. Which is also big in the losing skid. Had they played along with Kirkland for the whole season; there would have been more possessions, better field position, more FG's, as well as different (not necessarily better) play calling. A totally different season.

That makes me concerned for what happens Saturday. Debored has not proven he can play call and direct the team against SEC teams for 4 quarters. The D is being held together by tape and bubble gum. UK's running game is real and will be in control in the second half if our O does not grab the lead in the first half or if Dobbs plays like he did at USCe. We could boat race them by taking control in the first half because they will have to pass more and are bad at it. UK's D is better, but nothing dominating. If Dobbs plays well, we can still take control in the second half as long as we don't fall too far behind by half-time.

Well, sure-- JRM and Cam would have helped us in every game. We might not have had to go to OT against aTm with them on the field. But we got to OT with the D we had... and that D was making the plays to keep us in the game. You can't throw an INT on 1st down in OT when you have to have a FG. A SR QB can't make that mistake. Dobbs even said it was on him.

Just to clarify, we had to have a TD in the 2nd OT to tie and go to 3rd OT. However, we didn't have to throw into triple coverage on the 1st play, when we were gashing them running the ball.

Guys and gals relax, it's KY. I am 35, and KY has only beaten TN 3 times since I've been alive. KY has only beat TN 7 times since 1961.

I'm curious can someone put a side by side records of both the SEC East and West teams because I'm thinking the East gets more teams bowl eligible this year

I heard a report last week that said Vandy was nearly a lock to make a bowl at 5-7

I'm curious because everywhere I look it's SEC East is light years behind the West but there's a good chance they send more teams to a bowl game... I know the narrative will be that the East is so easy that they beat themselves but every team in the West but Bama will have 3 losses unless auburn beats bama

WEST:
Bama: 9-0
Arkansas: 6-3
Auburn: 7-2
Texas A&M: 7-2

LSU: 5-3 (likely wins at least 1 more) (@Arky, v.UF, @TAMU)
Ole Miss: 4-5 (iffy)(@TAMU, @Vandy, v.MissSt)
Miss St.: 4-5 (doubtful)(@Bama, v.Arky, @OM)

EAST:
Florida: 6-2
Tennessee: 6-3

Georgia: 5-4 (prob)(v.AU, v.LLaf, @GaTech)
Kentucky: 5-4 (prob)(@UT, v.APeay, @Louisville)
South Carolina: 5-4 (prob)(@FL, v.WCarolina, @Clemson)
Vanderbilt: 4-5 (iffy)(@MZ, v.OM, v.UT) (prob a top candidate to reach a bowl if they can get to 5-7 due to academic scores)
Missouri: 2-7 (none) (v.Vandy, @UT, v.Arky)

OVERALL:
Both divisions should have 5 bowl teams, with a chance at 6 for both. Still very hard to argue that the East is anywhere close to the West considering East teams only beat the West once this year: on a last-second-FG by Kentucky over Miss St.

Right you are. Knight scored the TD in 2OT. I must've blocked it out... just like I blocked out the entire SCAR game to spare myself the pain of remembering that we would be ranked, #1 in the SECE and in line for a NY6 bowl if we had just taken care of business.

I think it will end up being eleven teams total: Bama, Auburn, A&M, Ark, LSU, Tenn, UF, UGA, UK, USC, and either Ole Miss or Vandy at 6-6.

I think it is close but we win. While we have beaten Kentucky a lot over the years there have been some very close hard fought games. The last few years we have caught them while they were in the middle of tailspins with exhausted players / injuries / inconsistencies at QB. I think they are
In a better spot at this point in the season so they will play us much tougher. I don't think we hang a 51-14 beat down on them (although I'd love it if we did).

Thanks for painfully reminding us! 😩

Del Rio, Alex Anzelone, Jarrad Davis, center Cam Dillard out for FL. CeCe Jefferson is “highly doubtful” and wide receivers Chris Thompson (concussion) and Tyrie Cleveland (ankle) "possibly could be available to play"

I don't think it's enough for Scar to beat Florida, but maybe they can give em a scare.

South Carolina gets it done imo. UF can't score.

USC defense will hold to Florida to very little points,

South Carolina starting to catch all of the breaks

What happens if FL loses to both Carolina and LSU and we lose to vandy?

Would that be a 4 way tie between

Us
FL
SCe
KY

I think we'd still go. But ugh
