LWS thinks that Rich Rod might be in play for OC job if Debord steps down. He posted this on VQ...
"I've not tracked him as far as how good or bad he is as an OC or QB coach. I know his history at West Virginia, Michigan and Arizona as a head coach. I don't delve into coaches at other places but know several people that do. I would rely on their thoughts.
I have it on fairly good authority that CBJ likely would let him run with the offense and stay out of the way. I would have to see it to believe it though."

Don't think this is realistic at all. Arizona has had its own share of injuries this year with all 3 QBs out at times and playing a true freshman and former TE at QB and losing their two RBs in addition to the death of their starting center preaseason.
RichRod overhauled his entire defensive staff this past year and they are going through growing pains but are recruiting well so far this year.
He loves it here in Tucson and and don't see him leaving anytime soon. He's got a great relationship with the AD Greg Byrne.
Stranger things have happened though.
Prob won't have a chance to rattle Johnson. He barely gets a chance to throw. They run wildcat more than anything. Barnett and Vereen will need to play very disciplined.
The key is as you say though the offense has to start fast and pound them early forcing KY to call more pass plays to catch up. If not KY will run run run and make this game go by fast

The only thing I would say might not be accurate is he loves it in Tucson. Last year, VA Tech 247 site said he was interested in the VA Tech job and would love to get back closer to home.
Thanks for the post Ron! Any other info from VQ or last night's War Room worth mentioning?
With all the injuries that have occurred week after week, head coach Butch Jones is doing a complete self scout on how he practices as well as his entire strength program. Jones has even sought out advice and thoughts from several strength coaches around the country that he knows including the professional ranks. It's going to be interesting to see what the athletic department does in terms of strength and conditioning overall.
Dave Lawson, before he was let go, was the head of strength and conditioning for the entire athletic department. Technically, that position was never filled. Mike Szerszen's official title is Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning who is in charge of football. So it will be interesting to see what they do in that department after the first of the year and a new athletic director is hired.
We could offer his son not like we're doing good recruiting a QB for 17He was offered the South Carolina job last year but declined. He has a lake house near the GA/SC border. Has had multiple opportunities to leave, but hasn't.
His daughter was a cheerleader at Arizona and his son is a senior HS QB commited to Arizona.
Sounds to me that the he and the family love Tucson and are invested here.
With incentives, Rich Rod makes almost $3M and has escalators built in to his current contract. I can't see why he would move down to a coordinator position for a third of his current salary to work for someone who used to work for him. His situation is very different from DeBord's.
