Was in Jackson today for orientation for school. Ran into an LSU fan in the hotel elevator.

He noticed my orange and said "folks don't believe y'all are going to be as great as the hype".

I said "what do you think?" He responded "I don't want to play y'all".

We back

Were you at the courtyard Marriot? I was there this morning also.

And I can hit a jumper from half court if you give me enough shots.

Never meant to say that Tabor can't tackle. Just that he's not particularly dynamic in run support. Especially not for someone being penciled in as a top 10 pick by many.

Sutton wasn't after an undisclosed injury early last year.

I personally feel Sutton was hurt most of last year. Reason why he wasn't blasting guys after doing it early in the year and in his career.

Agreed

Have to think some of that is due to his knee still being tender... Tough to put a lot on it breaking down and cutting on routes

Not that he just looks like a DB. Other guys just look like natural WRs. Even catching the ball and all. They all catch the ball easy compared to Jennings.

SN: Malone does look better effort wise so far.
The young WRs look ready to help already as well.

Sutton didn't look as good against the run in 2015. He's still shown more on tape in run support than Tabor though.

Focus.

Is very appropriate that WarMachine points out a player who will be a veritable War Machine for the Vols this season.
Payback is nigh

Makes me as giddy as Ulysses looking at fluffy unicorns:)

Ugh! Just met with my new CMO for the first time. I'm wearing a UT shirt and sporting my Volunteers coffee mug. He noticed, said he is a Clemson alum, then asked if i follow recruiting. I said, "No."

This is a little too surreal and yet pertinent to a number of the conversations we've been having here lately.

GBO!

Ask him how long he has been a clemson fan?

Under 8 years, take him out back and whoop him for the bandwagon fan he is.

More than 8 years, then take him out back and whoop him cause, well VN needs avwin right now:)

Ok! You're saying they should be a #1 or #2 because of being in the SEC & winning the title. I can vouch for that but I think we lose to Texas A&M(our only regular season loss) & that's what middle-late season so it's going to drop us down somewhat & we will have to earn that ranking back.

I'd say it takes us out of the top 10 in the BCS rankings. We will have a few games left to get that ranking back though. I think a #3 or #4 ranking is more reasonable but we could possibly get to #2 but I don't think we see the #1 overall seed. I just don't!

Aggies are extremely quiet when they talk about Tennessee.
They are worried that Tennessee runs all over them...

Hilarious how our own fans think we'll lose to AtM. That will be bad. They can't stop the run and our defense will turn Trevor Knight over. Barnett will dominate that one for sure. I can't wait to stomp a mud hole in them. They aren't close to us. 😎😎😎😎

You shouldn't associate 1-2 fans as a whole. The majority sees it for what it is.

I left Dillon Bates off because he's nowhere in site for this team for whatever reason. I mean a 4* commit & he's shown nothing.

They used a redshirt last year on him & hopefully that extra work with him will improve his game bigtime & help whatever is holding him back.

I got a feeling if something doesn't happen to get him on the field this season Dillon is out of here. He will transfer to another school that gives him a chance to play.

I am just in shock he's not played more since coming here to Knoxville. He wasn't a 4* recruit for nothing but let's hope he gets it together because we don't want him to leave/transfer to another school. Thanks!

I am beginning to realize you just don't know ....

He's been hurt, so he can't play. Geez

AP All Time Top College Teams

I think that's a very fair assessment for Tennessee. A few years back while living in New York I got into a lengthy debate with some casual college football fans (who had zero respect for Tennessee) about Tennessee's place in college football history. They initially scoffed at the notion we were even a top 20 all time team (it was the height of the Dooley years and our onfield performance wasn't helping). I thought going in it would be easy to prove we were top 10 all time. When the dust settled, after reviewing a variety of indicators, we all agreed about 14 or 15, consistent with this article.

Tennessee has been a very consistent winner, with some real stretches of dominance. But it has also had some long periods of irrelevance mixed in, especially throughout the modern era (starting in the late 1970s).

Doesn't mean we can't be great again. We are clearly a program that can compete for championships.
