A&M worries me mostly because its on the road and I see them as an unknown. Just because they couldn't stop the run last year doesn't mean they won't be better at it this year. They have weapons and some star power.

Not every team on our schedule is garbage. Even though that's fun to imagine.

I'm all for dominance though. I also realize that we are going to be awesome. But sorry, I'm not guaranteeing an undefeated season like its already happened. I'll celebrate those wins as they come.

I'm tired of just winning games on paper. I need some gut clinching, sweaty, dramatic, tension filled victories in real time over some of these teams before I'm crowning them champions. I very much believe this team is fully capable of delivering, but I need to feel it.

ATM will test out pass defense that is for sure. I understand what you are saying about those tonight close games. But, that GA game gives me hope that this team knows how to pull out those tough games. I just feel our defense is better than aTm and we can run the ball against anybody. We won't blow them out I don't believe, but I still think our defense slows them down enough and our offense gets it done

Lists like that are mostly pointless. You can take the same criteria, re-weigh them, and come up with a different order.

It's almost as useless as preseason all-american lists.

Yeah I'm with you. There's not a game on our schedule that I am expecting to lose.

On a different note... Does anybody else feel like there is waaay too much media covering practice? I know there is always a ton. But it was super strange reading through Fingers thread last night and watching video after video of the same WR drills.

It's weird how much we are all fiends for this information though. The players are out there working their butts off (for no money) and the media is getting a payday by filming them working their butt off... and just... sharing it.

Haha I don't really have much of a point. It was just one of those moments where I realized how weird America can be sometimes.

I'm as much of a fiend as anybody though. So if there is a problem, I'm definitely contributing to it and have no plans to change.

I laughed at the emphasis on the three WR v DB drills they pointed out where the WRs won each one. It was just three drills, but they made it sound so important.

I've learned to turn down the expectations created by spring and fall camps. There are always camp warriors that don't produce in the season and vice versa.

That said, I still pay attention. :pardon:

I rarely agree with much of anything Basilio says or writes, but he had an interesting piece today:

I'm sorry but I got urinated off yesterday at a few of my callers that called in and rained on Mike Griffith's sunny parade. Can't anybody have any fun anymore? It was a pretty sad display by some UT fans who just can't suspend disbelief for even a few minutes when it comes to the upcoming season and that DAMN Florida game. I just don't get it. No offense, but have some of you lost the ability to enjoy anything? Let me put it this way...There's a time and a place for everything. Why can't you enjoy this right now?

We're undefeated!! Three practices are in the books. This team is healthy, primed and looks ready for a breakout season. So what if it doesn't happen? Why not relish in every second on this pre-season? This build-up is fun stuff. It's great! It's part of having a promising team on the rise. I know I caught a few people off guard yesterday with how strongly I rebuked certain members of the audience. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. It's boring. I'm sick of it. It's time to live in your sports hopes and not your fears. Look, I've never told anybody how to think or how to feel, but could you please quit raining on my parade? Can't we enjoy anything around here? Let's have some fun with this! Seasons like this one don't grow on trees.

If we could run on Bama and Florida last year we're going to peel AtM back in the running game. Going to punish them and knock Trevor Knight out of the game. Our team is elite not just good.

I say we run right at Garret. Wear him down and keep him guessing. Otherwise, he might destroy our passing game. If we can't protect, they will load the box.

I know its a crazy notion, but its possible Jumper has improved in the last year.
