I asked this earlier and got no response, are the injuries a good enough excuse to lose to Florida or any of the next four? Like to get a feel for how you guys view this.

Yes. The D depth will be the main weakness because they sub the experienced guys in and not necessarily the most talented guys. The bad O forces the D to be on the field too much. The bad O results from using the wrong players, too much substitution, crappy play calling, and a scheme that reveals where the play is going pre-snap on running plays to this point. There are no lead blockers such as H-backs, very little counter/trapping, and nearly always a delayed hand off.

All of that can be modified (or not) by one person - Butch. Hope he does. Not expecting him to though. Based on historical results with him as HC I would be pleasantly surprised if they go 2-2.

Larry mentioned after the first game that camp this year was far less hitting. I was just saying it is obviously having an impact. We are a talented team who can't even take care of lower tier teams at home. We look flat and undisciplined in every game so far. And a record amount of injuries to star players in 3 games. What other reason could it be for this team to look so "off"?

We have a good enough team to beat the first 3 teams even with the injuries. It would take much better coaching, which is very unlikely, but it could be done. Bama with these injuries is the only one I think that would be nearly unattainable.
