We have a good enough team to beat the first 3 teams even with the injuries. It would take much better coaching, which is very unlikely, but it could be done. Bama with these injuries is the only one I think that would be nearly unattainable.

i like your optimism but with our staff getting out-coached pretty much the last three games against lesser opponents, I do not see them all of a sudden getting their act together. Losing Kirkland and Sutton are huge-- JRM will be back hopefully. Sutton was the only one that would be able to cover Callaway on FL, and we saw Moseley can't cover his shadow, so they will feast on our secondary. Jumper did a great job running around the field unable to get off his blocks, and watched his team make a ton of tackles today-- He did have a few himself, but continues to be out of place and gets beat. Sapp now that I think of it is a pretty big loss as well... It sucks, but even with the pitiful coaching, if we were at a full roster with no major injuries I think we split the four at least... now unfortunately it will take a miracle to win one of these... A win will come from the players stepping up, not the coaches putting them in a position to win.

Football is a game we use it for entertainment. For the majority of us it has no actual effect on our lives. No matter if our team wins or loses we still have a job, we still have class, and we still have more important responsibilities. For these kids it is their lives depending on how they play the can lose their scholarship or nfl money.

Yes, this team has not lived up to expectations and had some close games with teams they could have blown out. However the fact of the matter is this team is off to its best start since 2004 is uber talented and has room to improve. As fans we just need to sit back and enjoy the ride. I understand airing your grievances about how the team played but lay off personally attacking the kids.

Next, I do agree with Justin saying this fan base is spoiled. All we hear is how much better past teams were and how TN gets screwed because such and such happened in the past. Well let me tell ya something life isn't all rosy and things don't always go the way they are expected to go.

Lastly, if you don't like how this team plays and just want to talk about how they suck then gtfo. This university uses sports to fund itself the last thing it cares about is how good they are if they are making money so if it really bothers someone how bad this team is playing then don't watch/spend money on their athletics and maybe enough of y'all will do this to force the university to make some changes

My post wasn't meant to be confused as optimism but so much. I just meant we have a chance to beat Florida, Georgia, and A&M. Not saying we do, and I really don't think we will at this point. Just meant we have a below average to average chance at them. Bama would be near impossible with all of these injuries.

Yep. From what I've seen- I don't know their team well- Florida has lost a couple of contributors as well. You have to recruit depth, and after three games, that factor of football comes into play.

Ole Miss has 3 starters out on offense alone, still hanging 30 on Bama.

The passing game showed some life today. 5 receivers substantially involved. Croom had some good catches. 70% pass completion rate. I think the best is yet to come.

VFL34 is saying in the FF that Sutton looks like he might be out for the year.

I'm really surprised to hear that considering he was jogging. In the area they were working on I just don't know of an injury to where you could immediately jog (probably not cut) but would have you out for over two months.

I agree but he may not get drafted if he misses the season and can't go in the combine at 100%.

Coming back and getting injured could impact his draft stock, but I still think he'll go fairly high. It just sucks that Cam and JRM came back to lead UT to a championship and this is how it turns out.
