The guy that started that is absolutely disgusting and pathetic.

I keep thinking the garbage on Twitter will finally reach a tipping point with people and morons like that will cease to have an audience...so I'm continually disappointed.

I thought it couldn't get any worse on twitter either, then I saw some of the tweets in response to the fires in Gatlinburg. There are more sick people out there than I'd imagined. Special place for those people when they finally check out.

Ranked 9 to unranked. Great. It's so sick to see what Franklin as done with Penn State; death penalty and sanctions to 10-2, conference championship and win over a top 5 team. Here we are with a down SEC, down east especially, our best roster in over a decade, best QB in the SEC and we went 8-4 and are going to the music city bowl

Compare injuries if nothing else.
Was their new DC from outside program? Did they have to install a new defense? (I don't know)

Why isn't their coach in jail for obstruction of justice at the very least?

if Butch can't get the kids focused, this bowl may not end well for us. Nebraska will be jacked to play an SEC team, while we may be sleep walking into it, disappointed we missed the sugar or SEC championship game.

Every bowl game has been top notch preparations. I expect nothing less. Team needs to motivate themselves. If you are strapping it up for Tennessee and can't get up, take a look in the mirror and keep the finger pointing to yourself

I will consider this the final game for the 2016 offense and the first game for the 2017 defense.

Really hope the D shows a pulse and some major improvement with the 15 extra practices.

This defense is not good and is depleted at tackle. We are going to have to outscore the opponent.

I am just hoping to see improvement and I want to see that we have a clue what we are doing on defense.

I seriously doubt we will see major improvements.

I agree. Can't imagine we make huge strides between now and then because we are still too depleted up front, However, we MUST show at least some tangible improvement on defense during this game.

I agree.

The only improvement I think we will see is as a result of key players having more time to recover from injuries and get back into training/practices. Kirkland, Cam, TKJr, Micah, Gaulden, Foreman should be more physically able to respond. Of course the same thing probably applies to Nebraska recovering from theirs.

Until last night, James Franklin had beaten one ranked team at Penn State in 3 years.

In a far less talented conference (the least talented of all P5 conferences), with an average team talent of Vanderbilt (the SEC has an average team talent in the Michigan/Oklahoma range), in a conference the media adores and tries desperately to put into positions to appear as the best conference.

It's narrative not reality.

Reviewing cfbstats.com it shows compelling data for playoff teams.

Bama is dominant but could be exposed on special teams and by a team that can stop the run.

Ohio State is good in every aspect of the game.

Washington is solid but kicking game is suspect.

Clemson appears to be weakest team in playoffs.

We could and should see big jumps in our tackling and fits that have both been horrible.

We fix those on the back 7 then we would see a much improved D no matter how the DT's look.

yes i agree with this. Kirkland and a few others have been playing dinged up the last three games... they will be at full strength. Hopefully it will be just enough to help this D make enough stops when it counts. The DBs (including Cam) should do nothing but practice not getting burned and turn their heads and track the ball... would make a big difference.

One thing Butch has shown the ability to do is that he has had his teams ready for bowl games. Even though this is a different situation than the last 2
