Dormady has an SEC body. Dude has been in the weight room long enough to get his body SEC ready. JG scares me with those skinny legs. I just hope he can take the hits that's sure to come his way when he's in the game.

Dobbs sure took some big hits. Hopefully, neither QB gets hurt and we can make it through the year with both getting plenty of game snaps.

Sooo if Lamar Jackson was the QB you wouldn't play him(JG is much bigger than him)? Johnny Football wasn't big either. Rex Grossman wasn't a huge QB while in the SEC. It's not like JG is 175-180lbs. Dobbs wasn't huge as a Sophomore either. Nick Marshall wasn't this huge guy nor was Blake Sims. That's a myth that the QB has to be huge in the SEC. Hurts at Bama isn't just a monster size wise as a QB.

For me it isn't as much about QD as the offense. Our offense outside the northwestern game has been an offense very easily slowed down if you take out the run threat of the qb

So I think a lot of people are very concerned about seeing that same offense without an explosive runner like dobbs was

The Northwestern game Dobbs held the backside all game and we actually went to the pistol(ask the coach why we didn't run it more last year smh). Hurd was allowed to gash them. And we also used the TE off the PA pass to get explosive plays down the middle.

It was easily slowed down because Dobbs wasn't scaring anybody with his arm until later on last year.

People are saying QD knows the playbook better. That was in the Spring. They haven't practiced enough to suggest that this Fall. So we will see what Jones decides. After the news I just got about the Vols I don't care what he does. If he Jones fails this year it's fine. If we win big it's fine. I'm good either way. #GOVOLS

You're a mess. Move go that badly? :)

What's up with Coleman? Haven't heard his name much. Will he redshirt since it looks like Robertson got the Center job? Will he get a look at RT? Could he slide back to Center and Smith move to RT and Robertson back to Guard?

Thomas' problem is he doesn't have the footwork to play tackle or the strength to play inside.

I get that but the only chances we have seen it we're with Worley and Peterman with the worst OLs we have ever had here. How does it work with what should be a more veterans and talented OL. Worley and Peterman also were like two grannies getting rid of the ball. If QD has a quicker release Than those 2 and our OL is good he will be fine. Plenty of programs across country have run this offense without a fast QB. The #1 pick in the draft played in this RPO type offense last year and QD and him have a lot of similarities in attributes and career paths.

I think if coaches make the right adjustments to him they would be fine. Such as run more pistol instead of RPO.

Coleman Thomas, Venzell Boulware, and Marcus Tatum are the three depth players this year for the Center, Guard, and Tackle positions. Hopefully, the freshman besides Smith can redshirt and the young guys like Ryan Johnson, Nathan Niehaus, and Devante Brooks can grow gain some reps in some games after they've been decided.

It's been talked about that Scott will run more under Center too. And they are installing some new plays

Don't think think anything was really wrong with him on field. He got sick and had to have surgery in spring which forced staff to move Robertson to C and Smith to RG and they loved the results for what they want this offense to be which is mean and nasty up front. Coleman doesn't really fit anywhere but C. So prob just bad luck more than anything.

Jack Jones/Robertson/Smith definitely bring that nasty attitude to the field inside

Hopefully we have games where last sentence exist lol
