For me it isn't as much about QD as the offense. Our offense outside the northwestern game has been an offense very easily slowed down if you take out the run threat of the qb

So I think a lot of people are very concerned about seeing that same offense without an explosive runner like dobbs was

Yeah but Dobbs was very inaccurate so it isn't a fair comparison.

At least Bass has a good sample size to form his incorrect opinion.

Not really. Lebron's statistics are far superior. All the 'fuzzy' metrics are even more in his favor (take a look at the Cavs won-loss record with and without Lebron while Kyrie is on the floor).

Bass doesn't like Lebron. Plain and simple. I don't have a problem with someone disliking Lebron, though. He's a damn unlikable guy. But there's no statistical justification for Bass's rants about Kyrie being a better player.

Kyrie is better at some things than Lebron, but not the overall better player. Lebron doesn't have a ring in cleveland without Kyrie tho, and that's a fact. Lebron not the goat tho, not close either

That's an entirely different tun than you were singing a while back. :)

Look, I understand why Kyrie wants to get away from Lebron. It's the same reason Shaq wanted to leave Kobe. They're tough to be around. So was Jordan. And Bird. Great players are frequently bad people. They're wired differently.

As far as the GOAT discussion is concerned, it's all subjective. My dad swears Oscar Robertson is the greatest of all time. My uncle says it's Wilt. I believe Bird was the greatest I ever saw. It depends on your favorite team, the era you grew up, and just plain ole personal preference. From a statistical standpoint, a person could make a strong argument for Lebron being the greatest of all time. Look it up.

Nah, don't need to. I said on day one of the Lebron/Kyrie statement that I was using hyperbole. Slow day, looking to create a conversation. Boy, did it lol

What's up with Coleman? Haven't heard his name much. Will he redshirt since it looks like Robertson got the Center job? Will he get a look at RT? Could he slide back to Center and Smith move to RT and Robertson back to Guard?

If Robertson starts at center, you're going to NEED a backup. He's no ironman.

Coleman Thomas played inured all last season out of necessity. I think he still has the potential to be elite at the center position. His athleticism is what makes him elite and he played on two bum ankles last year taking away his greatest asset. Would be great if he could redshirt this season. Not likely because of his experience and versatility.

I kinda said We'll see what "Jones" does in my post that you attacked sooooo.......

Your belief that QD can't run and JG should play over him because he can is very apparent in your post. Then you insinuate that Jones will play QD. We all know that Jones tends to lean toward the senior of two QBs. You have no faith that QD can flourish in our offense and use every opportunity to say so. You have no clue how CLS will adjust the offense to account for the QBs mobility or lack thereof. You want JG to play and anything short of that will cause you to moan. I know you'll come back and tell me that I'm wrong but you are very clearly strutting the pot and will continue to do so. If QD starts we will have to hear it from you all year and I would really appreciate it if you didn't try to ruin football season like that. Just chill and let's let it play out.

I'm glad both QB's have looked good, but I think once both are actually having to respect a pass rush, that is where we will see a little more separation one way or another.

Dormady is starting y'all are just going to have to get over it. Taking care of ball and running fast aren't the only attributes to decide the battle and it's only been a week. In spring Dormady was better. Let's see what happens through entire camp. If JG keeps going up and they are producing same results then yes play JG. You can always go from Dormady to JG. You can't go from JG to dormady.

Amazes me that people just think Dormady is trash because he isn't a dual threat QB

Here's the thing. The only thing we have seen with our own eyes was the Spring game. Our local news media members, bless their hearts, have seen limited sessions with QBs and receivers, in practice situations, and without full pads. We have seen a few videos in controlled situations. I honestly don't see how any of us can make an informed decision on who is best at this point. QD looked great in the Spring game. JG looked pretty good. It means very little, IMO. I do have confidence in the coaches to put the best player out there. I do think that CBJ trusts CMC and they will make the decision together, with some input from Coach Scott.

Maybe, but I think he's depth this year. I just don't think he'll ever have "it." He does some things well and seems like a team player.

He really excels when he pulls, I think. I get that he is not strong enough to be a guard on most plays, but he has flat out destroyed a few people when he has pulled as the center.

Plus in the spring game I think JG was playing with maybe 2 starters on the Oline. Taylor was in his face almost every drop back, JG has never had real action, QD has. So its no surprise QD looked better lol. Idc who wins, I just want the QB to be able to lead us to victories, Whether that's while putting up 4500 yards and being a first rounder, Or putting up 2500 yards and not getting drafted. Best case scenario IMO is QD starts and dominates, leaves early and becomes a top pick, JG stays and dominates for a year or two.

That's my best case scenario as well. Otherwise someone transfers and leaves thin depth at the position. All hinges on how good QD is.

I said I don't think QD can win the big games for us.....
