Dobbs was frustrating at times. His tendency to over throw wide open receivers was infuriating. He left points off the board every time he did it too.

The question will be did it equal out with the plans he made with his legs. I am betting we find out it did. I don't expect us to be nearly as good this year with the ball in the hands of the QB.

There is 126 other teams that can't beat Bama. It is what it is and don't think it has anything to do with QBs that have legs.

Lieutenant Dan can be our QB!

There will be growing pains, there always is with a new QB, but I don't expect it to be an Achilles's heel either.

If we aren't stepping into the elite this year with the talent we have coupled with that weak schedule(the East is weak sauce) then we need a new coach. 10 wins minimum..... And dominate teams that aren't supposed to be on the field with us. We need to dominate Florida and Georgia this year. A message has to be sent nationally that Tennessee football is back and it needs to be done this year in Year 5.

I don't think most people have a baseline expectation of 10 wins. If anything, the media's negativity towards Butch this offseason has served to lower expectations.

I think we're better than most, but I don't have a 10 win minimum as my baseline expectation. I think 8 is the minimum he must win, but I'm expecting 9. We could win 10 or more if we catch a lot of breaks. The team is very talented, but let's be honest - they don't have much experience. I think we could start slow and finish strong.

Plus, I think the "East is down" narrative is a bit overused. I think the East is better this year than it has been in years. I actually think it's probably on par with the west at this point, if you exclude Alabama. I think Tennessee, Georgia and Florida match up very well on paper with LSU, Auburn and A&M. I think South Carolina and Kentucky match Arkansas and Miss State. Vandy is better than Ole Miss. That leaves Mizzou, which doesn't belong in the SEC anyway so I don't spend much time thinking about them.

I expect the OL and running game to shine and pick up the slack

Agreed, which is why I think QB won't be such an issue this year, or at least not such a weakness. A strong OL and running game will always make it easier to break in a new QB.

Starting to wonder if Tennessee has enough quality depth on the defensive line. A couple of injuries to that group could be detrimental IMO. Don't have a lot of faith in Alexis Johnson. Still thinking 8-4.

No, I absolutely did not mean to quote Bruin. My apologies to the board.

And thanks, she's a happy, healthy and rambunctious 2 year old little girl now...and a ham :) Here she is driving her sister around a few weeks ago at a friend's house

That's awesome Ob, thanks for sharing

I want a seven-figure salary, a house on the beach in Destin and 6 months paid vacation every year too but I love my job (even though I'm not paid a lot), I have a great home (even though it's not on the beach) and I have plenty of PTO every year (even though I'd like to take 5 vacations a year).

My point is, I'll take wins over top 25 teams first and be thrilled with wins over top 10 teams because, regardless if they're by an average margin of 1 point, I'm not about to complain if we're getting W's in the win column (much).

Check out Grayton Beach...much less crowded than Destin. But same beach and close to all the fun stuff too. Just East of Santa Rosa...
